Iran, Unchained w/ Ameen Soleimani and @_Injaneb96. Some will object to using Bankless to cover a subject far outside crypto. I’ve reflected on this - this is an issue where I cannot stay silent. I consider this a personal moral obligation, and I’m ready to own the consequences. Over...

Here is Yasmin Vossoughian Reports talking to someone inside Iran. This is journalism, not what CNN is doing by sending Frederik Pleitgen to Iran as journalist who is controlled by the regime and only reports regime propaganda narratives. Also, this is for the “Pahlavi has no support in Iran” & “no one knows who Pahlavi is in Iran” crowd. And for those who have been attacking the diaspora/Iranians inside Iran, calling them “vatan foroush” aka “one who sells out their own country” People need to stop pretending they speak for Iranians inside Iran while ignoring what many inside Iran are actually saying. Even in this clip, our brother inside Iran clearly says people support Reza Pahlavi and need someone like him. You do not have to “want war” to understand why many Iranians believe the regime cannot be defeated by bare hands against Basij, and the IRGC. No sane Iranian wants to see their homeland bombed, but the blame for where we are belongs first and foremost to the Islamic Republic, not to Iranians in the diaspora and not to Iranians inside Iran who believe outside help is necessary. We heard the same arguments during the June 2025 war, and I told y’all, if the regime survives more Iranians will be killed than you can imagine. Less than a year later, 32k+ Iranians were killed in the regime’s own crackdown as I called it. Compare that to the numbers during these two wars, which include high rate of IRGC & regime officials. So I genuinely want to understand the logic of attacking the very people who are standing with Iranians inside Iran. I personally have always echoed the voices of people inside Iran and what they tell me. If your position is always “I hate the regime, but…” and that “but” always ends with protecting the conditions that keep it alive, then what exactly are you offering the Iranian people besides more death and more time under this regime? So before you jump to attack, please just listen to what people are saying in Iran. I’m not attacking anyone, I’m just trying to have a fair dialogue, to get an understanding on where my misunderstanding might be. Long Live Iran 🇮🇷

OUTSTANDING answer from Secretary Marco Rubio on the Iranian regime vs. the Iranian people: “[T]his regime is not — guys, I know I’ve said this — I think I said this in my hearing before the Senate when I got confirmed, I don’t know of any country in the world where there’s a bigger difference between the people and the people who run the country, okay? This country is run by radical Shia clerics, and that’s not what Iran and the Iranian people are. Now, they may be Shia, but they’re not radicals and they’re not clerics. And they just want a normal life and a regular life. And, in many ways, a very cosmopolitan country with a with an incredible history, incredible history, an incredible legacy and the like. So, there’s this huge divide between the people of Iran whom we sympathize with and who the President sympathize with, because they’re the ones suffering. Look, the world is a victim of Iran, okay? The world is a victim of Iran because they’re terrorists, because of what they’re doing now on the Straits. But the people of Iran are daily victims of the regime. And the president has deep sympathy for what they’re going through. And I think he’s just expressing that sympathy and that frustration that they don’t have the ability to do more to get rid of this regime that has crushed this country and isolated it from the world, which is a country that shouldn’t be isolated from the world because its people are phenomenal.”

My dear compatriots, Decisive moments lie before us. The assistance that the President of the United States had promised to the brave people of Iran has now arrived. This is a humanitarian intervention, and its target is the Islamic Republic, its apparatus of repression, and its machinery of killing—not the country and great nation of Iran. However, despite the arrival of this assistance, the final victory will still be achieved by us. It is we, the people of Iran, who will finish this task in this final battle. The time to return to the streets is approaching. Now that the Islamic Republic is collapsing, my message to the country’s military, law enforcement, and security forces is clear: You have sworn an oath to protect Iran and the Iranian nation, not the Islamic Republic and its leaders. Your duty is to defend the people, not to defend a regime that has taken our homeland hostage through repression and crime. Join the nation and help ensure a stable and secure transition. Otherwise, you will sink with Khamenei’s ship and his crumbling regime. And my message to the President of the United States, President Trump, is this: The honorable people of Iran, despite the brutal repression and killings carried out by this regime, stood bravely for nearly two months. I now ask you to exercise the utmost possible caution to preserve the lives of civilians and my compatriots. The people of Iran are your natural allies and the allies of the free world, and they will not forget your assistance during the most difficult period of Iran’s contemporary history. And to you, my dear compatriots in Iran: In these sensitive hours and days, more than ever we must remain focused on our ultimate goal: reclaiming Iran. I ask you, for now, to remain in your homes and remain calm and safe. Stay alert and ready to return to the streets for the final action at the appropriate time, which I will communicate to you. Follow my messages through social media and satellite media. If disruptions occur in the internet and satellite broadcasts, I will remain in contact with you via radio. We are very close to final victory. I hope to be with you as soon as possible so that together we may reclaim Iran and rebuild it. Long live Iran. Reza Pahlavi
