🎥 “People are aware that what happened in Gaza is coming to the West Bank.” Palestinian human rights advocate Fadi Quran issued the warning during a Zeteo town hall, saying settler attacks are not isolated violence, but occurring with state participation. “They’re training to commit ethnic cleansing,” he said, describing raids in which settlers and Israeli soldiers practice entering and burning villages so they can eventually “completely wipe out and push out Palestinians.” He said Ben-Gvir’s threat to treat West Bank communities like Beit Hanoun in Gaza, and Smotrich’s redesign of roads and infrastructure are putting Palestinians in “smaller and smaller cages to make the coming genocide easier.” “It’s all one system of genocidal terror,” Quran said. Happening now in the occupied West Bank: the Israeli occupation has gone wild. An Israeli terrorist settler wearing an army helmet tried to break into my house. He brought an Israeli army soldier with him to facilitate his entry. Israeli soldiers and settlers are working together to terrorize and intimidate Palestinians across the West Bank. This is not isolated settler violence. It is a dangerous pattern of settlers operating with the protection, presence, or complicity of Israeli forces.

An Israeli settler armed with a club raided a Palestinian home in Al-Fakhit, draining their water tanks in the remote village of Masafer Yatta, in the southern occupied West Bank. The settler is backed by Israeli occupation forces. If called upon, the Palestinians are the ones likely to be blamed and arrested instead. Settlers enjoy complete immunity to harass and vandalize Palestinian property in the area, aiming to force them out and build settlements on their land.

It's been a month since the brutal killing of Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen, who was shot and killed by an extremist Israeli settler as he filmed a confrontation with unarmed Palestinians in the West Bank. But already, settlers are back encroaching even closer to the Palestinian village of Umm al-Khair - openly setting up four mobile homes within metres of it. The man who shot Awdah, internationally sanctioned settler Yinon Levi, still hasn't been charged. Further evidence, say many, of the two-tier justice Israel operates - putting its people first and Palestinians second in the West Bank. Warning, this report contains footage of the shooting.

Videos shared by settlers on social media lay bare the ideology of dispossession and ethnic cleansing that drives the settlement enterprise in the West Bank. Leaders and members of settler militias openly boast about using violence to force Palestinian communities off their land and drive them from their homes. These actions are carried out with the military’s full backing and with the explicit encouragement and support of Israeli policymakers. Since October 2023, settler violence and military raids have forcibly displaced at least 4,635 Palestinians in the West Bank. Entire communities have been driven out of their homes in 62 cases, with another 15 communities partially displaced.

Many horrific videos appeared out of the West Bank on Sunday, as crowds of Israeli settlers reportedly attacked and severely beat dozens of Palestinian olive farmers near the town of Turmus Ayya in Ramallah and al-Bireh. One video, filmed by an American journalist who was documenting the attack, shows a masked settler beat an elderly woman unconscious using a large stick before striking several other workers in the same olive field. The journalist, jasper nathaniel claims that the Israel Defense Force lured both him and the olive farmers into the area right before the incident took place, leaving after the settlers began their brutal attack against the farmers and other nearby Palestinians.

⚡️ “Because repeated settler attacks have failed to force people to leave, they have now adopted a new method: ending people’s lives in this land by burning their homes.” Masafer Yatta Council head Nidal Younes told Drop Site contributor Mohamed Awad that more than 40 Israeli settlers attacked Tuba after 9 p.m. Wednesday, attacking homes across the Palestinian village simultaneously. More than four homes were burned, the remaining homes were vandalized, and residents were beaten with stones and clubs. Five Palestinians required medical treatment. Younes called it part of an “ethnic cleansing” campaign carried out by settler gangs with Israeli military “support and protection.” Nasr Nawajah, an activist and head of the Susiya Council, said the assault was “planned” and that Israeli forces and police “effectively enable” such attacks. “Whenever Palestinians are the victims, the cases are always closed against unknown perpetrators,” he said. A rare exception to that impunity came Thursday, when Israeli prosecutors charged settler Yinon Levi with reckless manslaughter in the July 2025 killing of Awdah Hathaleen, a Palestinian activist who worked on the Oscar-winning No Other Land, in neighboring Umm al-Khair. B’Tselem says it is the first time since Oct. 7, 2023, that an Israeli has been indicted for killing a Palestinian in the West Bank. The charge comes after more than 1,380 settler-related attacks across over 250 Palestinian communities in 2026 alone, leaving about 900 Palestinians injured and more than 2,300 displaced, according to UN OCHA.

Who are we? We’re a group of Israeli and international human rights activists doing protective presence in the East Ramallah area of the West Bank. Our communities face constant attacks by settlers, on a daily basis, and we stay with them 24\7. The settlers have a clear goal - to drive the Palestinians out of their homes, and the Israeli authorities are complicit to this ethnic cleansing process. Our work is fully dependent on volunteers to cover shits, and our activity is completely legal and non-violent. We need you to stand with us in solidarity with the Palestinians. For decades, B’Tselem has documented violence, demolitions, displacement and the dispossession of Palestinians from their land in the West Bank. Raj’in (“We Shall Return”) brings this documentation work into a new medium. Co-created by Faiz Abu Rmeleh and Keren Manor and co-produced by B’Tselem and NowHere Media, the film, which is currently being screened as part of the Venice International Film Festival, was shot with 360° cameras and also incorporates footage filmed by Palestinian residents and protective presence activists. Through virtual reality, it places viewers inside the spaces where Palestinian shepherding communities in the West Bank face Israeli violence, demolitions and displacement from their land. Since October 2023, 65 Palestinian communities have been entirely forcibly displaced, while another 18 have been partially displaced. More than 4,861 people have been driven from their homes and land, including at least 2,315 children.

This week in the West Bank, I have witnessed how Israeli settler violence is driving vulnerable Palestinian communities from their homes. Courageous NRC colleagues are active on the ground and working to support communities at existential threat. But the international community cannot continue to stand by as violent settlers steal land, livelihoods, and the hope of a viable future Palestinian state.

Israeli settlers continue to terrorise Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank, setting fire to homes, vehicles and a mosque in another attack on civilians. Families were forced to flee as property was destroyed, leaving communities devastated and living in fear. The Israeli government continues to shield violent settlers from accountability, while Israeli forces have repeatedly been accused by human rights organisations of protecting settlers during attacks, failing to intervene, and in some cases using force against Palestinians instead of stopping the violence. This entrenched lack of accountability has allowed settler attacks to increase with few consequences.

Last night (Tuesday), 24 February, at around 8:00 P.M about 20 Israeli settlers raided the village of Khirbet Susiya, in the South Hebron Hills. They attacked homes and cars with stones, and set fire to three tents, a pre-fab, chicken coops and cars at several spots throughout the village. About 300 people live in the village, half of them minors. They are subjected to daily violence by settlers and the military, with the backing of all Israeli state authorities. Footage also shows a group of settlers trying to damage cameras to prevent documentation of the attack. None of the assailants were detained. Yesterday’s attack on Khirbet Susiya is part of Israel’s broader onslaught against Palestinians, who remain defenseless in the face of unchecked violence by militias and the Israeli military. Israel’s ethnic cleansing in the West Bank has so far displaced more than 4,000 Palestinians from their homes, with 51 communities expelled in their entirety and 14 communities in part. The daily violence towards Palestinians in the West Bank continues as Israel maintains a system of military occupation and systemic impunity for settler violence, while the international community stands by.

Israeli soldiers were filmed chatting and shaking hands with illegal settlers who have been besieging the home of a Palestinian-American in the occupied West Bank for more than a week. Israel’s military claims it stationed the troops there to remove the settlers after their illegal siege generated international outcry. Yuli Novak, B’Tselem’s executive director, said last week that the developments in Qusra “are not an isolated incident,” accusing settler militias, with the backing of the Israeli army, of escalating attacks on Palestinian towns and villages, seizing land, attacking homes and displacing families. “Israeli ethnic cleansing in the West Bank is accelerating and expanding in full view of everyone,” she said. US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said Tuesday that Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank meets the definition of “terror” but “represents a tiny, tiny minority.” “When it happens to an American citizen, as it did recently, then it is our responsibility as an American embassy to engage and to be as strong as we can be in saying ‘this is unacceptable behavior,’” Huckabee said.
