🔴 Manchester United 9v9+2 Compact Units Setup 📏 Played from just outside 18 yard box to 18 yard box ⚽ 9v9 + 2 neutrals 🎯 Target goals positioned to encourage central passes. The focus was on compact defensive shape, protecting the middle, and moving together as a unit up and down the pitch. Players were coached to defend central overloads first and force the ball wide. This wasn’t random. United’s win over City was no fluke. Credit to Michael Carrick and his staff for delivering the exact tactical messages the game demanded. There is nothing wrong with giving people credit where credit is due. It's not getting over excited, it's praising a good job done! Simple ideas. Clear structure. Say what you like about Ruben Amorim at Manchester United on the pitch, but on this subject he’s absolutely spot on 👏⚽ He’s called out pundits and ex players telling young players to leave. That attitude breeds entitlement 🚫👑 Adversity isn’t a bad thing, young players need challenges to grow 💪📈 Instead of sulking or leaving first sign of when things get tough, stay, fight for your place, and develop 🔴🔥 On this point, Amorim is 100% right ✅

"It is a very difficult question, because to be a great coach there are so many aspects… it is not only about tactics or results, it is about the human being as well. But on the other side, it is easier to say what makes a bad coach. For me, a bad coach is somebody who takes away the joy of the game from the players, who does not allow them to express themselves or make their own decisions. Especially at the level of development, the role of the coach is to give freedom, but not to control everything."
