Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. Not Pierre Poilievre bringing me to tears with today’s announcement 🙏 Everyone I know who has lost someone to suicide or overdose is voting conservative. We are also frequently told we’re idiot, who simply don’t understand. Our “privilege” is showing. We’re brainwashed. You know what I think we are though? We are people who pray every day that absolutely no one else has to feel the way we do and will for the rest of our lives. We pray that even those people who call us names, demoralize us and try to shut us up, never have to feel the way we do. We have seen the statistics. We have seen these things that tax us more and have no results to show for it. We see how easy it is to fall into hopelessness and all we really want is a government who puts an end to the crime—not encourage it. We want a government who cares about its citizens first. A government who will lower our taxes, enhance our economy and improve our quality of life so that dreams can come true again, without all the roadblocks and unnecessary struggle to get from point A to point B. That’s why I’m voting conservative. That’s why I trust Pierre Poilievre. He is the only candidate that has sounded the alarm on all of these topics—for years before an election—not in the weeks after an election is called.

We stopped competing for their votes. I went down to the valley a ton and I listened. I heard their concerns primarily about costs. It's this cost of living crisis that's crushing people all over the state, but especially folks in South Texas. You have to ask for someone's vote. You have to earn their vote. I think showing up and listening is half the battle in politics. It's what our party should do a better job of among all communities.
