U.S. company Mara has presented its Spike counter-drone system, designed to defend against FPV drones. The system consists of two main components: the Spotter detection module, which uses visual and acoustic sensors to identify incoming drones, and the Seeker interceptor UAV. The Seeker reportedly has a maximum speed of up to 200 km/h (124 mph) and an operational range of approximately 1.5 km (0.9 miles). Mara estimates the complete Spike system will cost between $30,000 and $100,000, depending on the number of Seeker interceptors included. A single system can reportedly accommodate up to 48 interceptors. The company says the interceptor itself is intended to cost approximately the same as its target, or up to twice as much. A stationary version of Spike is planned for late 2026, while vehicle-mounted and portable versions using manual launch are expected in 2027. The system reportedly underwent testing in Ukraine in July 2026. #USA #Mara #Spike #CounterUAS #CounterDrone #FPV #Drones #DroneWarfare #Interceptor #MilitaryTechnology #Defense

🚨🇺🇦 Ukrainian Armor has unveiled a new automated anti-drone weapon module at MSPO 2026 in Poland, designed specifically to protect military vehicles from enemy FPV kamikaze drones. The still-unnamed system uses a 12-gauge twin-barrel weapon mount capable of rotating through 360 degrees and firing specialized buckshot ammunition against incoming drones. Its electro-optical sensors are designed to detect and track targets automatically, allowing the module to respond with minimal crew involvement. 🔥 The concept reflects one of the fastest-growing battlefield requirements in Ukraine: close-range protection against cheap FPV drones. If the system proves reliable in combat, an automated shotgun-based interceptor could offer armored vehicles a relatively low-cost last line of defense against threats that are otherwise difficult and expensive to stop.

💢 Hezbollah published footage from its May 19 FPV drone strike on an Israeli Iron Dome battery in Misgav Am, an Israeli border town directly across from the Lebanese border town of Adaisseh. The new footage comes amid a broader campaign of Hezbollah FPV drone attacks targeting Israeli air defense systems and military vehicles and troops in occupied areas of Lebanon and along the northern front. Hezbollah has now claimed at least 10 separate strikes on Iron Dome systems in recent weeks, including multiple attacks on the heavily fortified Biranit Barracks, an Israeli military command base near the Lebanon border west of Misgav Am. A montage circulating online (see below) compiles confirmed Hezbollah FPV drone strikes carried out over roughly the past six weeks, showing repeated attacks on Israeli military positions, surveillance systems, armored vehicles, and air defense infrastructure across northern Israel and the occupied border region.

🇷🇺 First confirmed destruction of an Israeli Drone Dome system in the SMO zone At 30 seconds into the video, the system is seen destroyed along with its command post, which was hiding in a garage. Irony of fate: the anti-drone system was taken out by a drone. The Israeli-made Drone Dome is a counter-drone system designed to detect, track, and neutralize UAVs using electronic warfare and laser interception. Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, it’s a key part of Israel’s air defense capabilities. Despite Israel’s official stance of neutrality, Israeli military technology has found its way to Ukraine, likely via third-party deals. The Drone Dome’s presence suggests Kiev is seeking advanced anti-drone defenses against Russian UAVs, which have played a crucial role in the conflict. This marks a significant blow to Ukraine’s counter-drone efforts and raises questions about the silent transfer of Israeli defense tech to the battlefield.

VIDEO: Hezbollah is learning from its past military failures and developing capabilities to deploy FPV drones in current and future campaigns against Israel. In this video, ISW Middle East Team Lead Kelly Campa explains how FPV systems have become a cheap, indispensable tool of warfare and how Hezbollah has deployed FPVs in its most recent campaign against Israeli forces in Lebanon. Hezbollah’s FPV drone threat remains limited for now but is likely to feature in Hezbollah's future campaigns against Israel. The IDF will need to anticipate how Hezbollah’s drone-and-strike complex could evolve over the medium term and develop the appropriate countermeasures to counter the new FPV challenge.

#WATCH | Nagpur, Maharashtra: Solar Defence and Aerospace Ltd. (SDAL) demonstrated "Bhargavastra", an indigenous, vehicle-mounted, multi-layered Counter-Swarm Drone System designed to provide affordable and highly effective protection against the rapidly growing threat of weaponised drones, loitering munitions and autonomous drone swarms. Developed entirely in India, Bhargavastra represents a major technological breakthrough in counter-drone warfare and reflects SDAL's vision of anticipating the future character of conflict well before drones emerged as one of the most decisive battlefield weapons. The system employs indigenously designed and developed unguided rockets and precision micro-missiles arranged in a multi-layer engagement architecture, providing a highly effective yet economical means of neutralising hostile UAVs. It has also been designed for seamless integration with the existing Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence (C4I) networks of the Indian Armed Forces, enabling its employment in future network-centric operations. Engineered specifically for Indian operational conditions, Bhargavastra is capable of deployment across deserts, plains and mountainous terrain up to 5,000 metres above mean sea level, providing reliable protection against aerial threats along the country's entire land borders. The Command-and-Control Centre incorporates an advanced C4I architecture integrating a radar capable of detecting UAVs up to 10 km, an Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) surveillance system and passive RF sensors. These sensors provide multi-layer target detection, tracking and classification, generating a comprehensive air situation picture and enabling operators to engage either individual drones or coordinated drone swarms. Unlike conventional soft-kill systems based on jamming or spoofing, Bhargavastra provides an effective hard-kill solution against autonomous drones that are immune to electronic countermeasures. A team of Indian Army visited SDAL, Nagpur on 24th July 2026 as part of Status review against a PSO under make-II The Bhargavastra weapon system, in its full configuration comprising a Command & Control Vehicle (CCV) equipped with Radar, EO/IR and RF detectors integrated with the C4I system, along with a launcher vehicle carrying all the launch tubes, was demonstrated. The SDAL team flew a swarm of drones, which was successfully detected by the Radar, EO/IR and RF detectors. The C4I system displayed the complete situational awareness picture and generated a drone attack alert. The launcher was then assigned the targets by the C4I system, and the complete firing sequence was successfully demonstrated to the visiting team. Actual rocket firing was not carried out within the plant premises due to safety considerations.

Low-cost drones are increasingly being used to strike bases, energy facilities, and critical infrastructure in the U.S.–Israel–Iran conflict. Conventional air defense systems are too expensive to counter these threats at scale. Türkiye’s MKE has developed the TOLGA system based on an “effective, simple, and low-cost” approach, integrating jamming (soft-kill) and kinetic (hard-kill) capabilities to neutralize drones in a cost-efficient manner.

🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: Game-Changer in Anti-Drone Warfare US-based company Epirus has successfully demonstrated its cutting-edge anti-swarm technology Leonidas, disabling 49 drones in a single strike. Just last month, the system proved its unmatched potential by taking down 61 drones from multiple unknown directions, showcasing its ability to counter complex swarm tactics. Unlike older vacuum systems, Leonidas uses gallium-nitride semiconductors to generate high-powered microwave emissions. This design allows operators to adapt and optimize the waves in real time, ensuring maximum impact on hostile drones. The takeaway: drone warfare has long favored attackers due to lower costs and higher saturation. With systems like Leonidas, the balance of power may finally begin to shift toward the defenders.

UPDATE: Ukrainian intelligence used naval drone to launch a smaller attack drone, which then took out one of Russia’s S400 defense system. 🇺🇦🇷🇺 The S-400 is one of Russia’s most prized air defense systems, built to shoot down aircraft, drones, and missiles at long range. The cost gap is staggering. A single S-400 launcher and its support systems can cost billions of dollars. The drones used to destroy it likely cost only in thousands. What is genuinely new is the method. Ukraine used a naval drone, built for sea warfare, as a launch platform to carry smaller FPV drones against land targets.

‼️‼️🇺🇲 BIG | The USA for the first time shot down a fiber-optic drone The American company Epirus reported a significant breakthrough in the field of countering drones. Its microwave system "Leonidas" for the first time hit a drone with fiber-optic control - one of the most difficult targets for modern electronic warfare means. Previously, the complex had already hit a swarm of 49 drones, but the new test was particularly significant. In December 2025, at a closed test range of the US Army, the system was able to disable a fiber-optic UAV, depriving it of control and causing an uncontrolled fall. Fiber-optic drones, which are widely used today, including in the Ukrainian theater of operations, do not use radio control channels. The signal is transmitted via a thin fiber-optic cable, which makes such drones extremely difficult to detect and suppress. In a report by the US Army in 2024, such drones were called "one of the main threats to air defense systems and anti-drone warfare". The CEO of Epirus noted that the mass spread of fiber-optic UAVs has become a turning point in the evolution of unmanned warfare and has revealed a serious gap in anti-drone defense systems - a gap that "Leonidas" is designed to close. In 2025, Epirus received a contract for $43.5 million for the supply of two second-generation "Leonidas" systems. Its range of destruction is more than twice that of the first version; a 30% increase in power; there are built-in high-energy batteries; a reduction in dependence on external power supply. The system can be installed on: Stryker 8×8 armored vehicles, light tactical vehicles, other mobile platforms. See the latest updates with us: Visioner
