I used to run a pill line years ago and it gave out drugs to addicts. I used to ask addicts how they got addicted and of course the stories varied . Yet it almost always came back to getting high / getting away from life. Until drugs became their master/addiction

I have ZERO sympathy, nor empathy. Having lived through the NARCISSISTIC SELFISHNESS of a spouse who became a drug addict and what it did to my children and myself. When given the ultimatum of " you choose; it's me and the kids or the crack" he came home the NEXT DAY high on that shit. That very moment I packed up my kids and myself and walked out the door. Addiction is a CHOICE! The MONENT they take the first hit, injection,whatever, they know there's a risk of addiction..and they CHOSE to take that risk. They CHOOSE to continue the cycle. They CHOOSE to destroy, not only themselves, but anyone who loves them!
