Marco Rubio on Syria: They told us what they want to do is create a national Syrian government in which every element of Syrian society is represented and feel safe. They don't want Syria to ever again be a base of operations for Iran, for ISIS, or for any of these groups. They want it to be a country, not a launching pad for attacks against their neighbors. The alternative is that if it doesn't work and it collapses, Syria will fall into civil war and become a playground for virtually every dangerous element in the Middle East.

A lot of Kurds view the new agreement with Julani terror regime as a "defeat", but let me put it in this way Was weapons handed over? Did the YPG and YPJ integrate as individuals? Are Kurds in Kobanî, Qamişlo and Hasake not governing themselves? (Self-Administration) You got it. Of course, mistakes have been made, such as the belief that the "Brotherhood of Nations" could work with these tribal terrorist gangs in Syria, but that does not mean it could not work elsewhere. You should not think that this new agreement is a permanent solution. I would describe it more as a temporary measure to buy time until a more suitable situation arises.
