Shame it’s one of his worst. War Of The Worlds was a definitive disappointment - gaping plot holes, annoying human characters and a lacklustre ending.

A masterpiece. I want them to work together again! Spielberg should cast Cruise for his western!

Steven Spielberg notoriously figures out how to shoot a scene, camera angles, and block actors on the day - which for most directors is insane. Here's an example of that rare skill from the set of JURASSIC PARK.

One of his best performances on The Sopranos is the scene where he's talking to AJ about how Tony was always there for him in difficult times. All while he's wearing a wire to incriminate Tony. And you feel his remorse emerge more as the scene goes on RIP

The flying wing fight scene in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981) was largely improvised. Spielberg apparently storyboarded about 15 shots for the scene but decided to discard them and choreograph the fight as they filmed, ending up with about 60 shots.

As a child, Steven Spielberg stared at a meteor shower on a wondrous starry night and began his love affair with the sky. The director of the classic "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" has returned to the sci-fi genre with "Disclosure Day," which imagines closely-held secrets surrounding alien visitations. He talks with Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz about UAP/UFO phenomena, the paranormal, and his own beliefs regarding intelligent life beyond Earth.

The BBC Sci-Fi show Doctor Who has had some truly brilliant writers and acting. Steven Moffat wrote some of his best work for Peter Capaldi, because he knew he had the talent and gravitas to pull it off. This scene from Zygon Inversion would have won him an Oscar in a movie.

We got to welcome YoungRoddo along with his parents to the EMPIRE office and studio, a 9-year-old superstar with a voice far beyond his years. His passion, confidence, and story already speak to so many people, and this is only the beginning. The future is bright, and Roddo is proof of that. Grateful for the energy he brought to the building and excited for everything ahead.
