“It would be completely delusional to think that these people do not know that all these prayers and fasting do absolutely nothing for the country’s trajectory” - Osarogie on Pastor Adeboye’s 100 days fasting and praying declaration for Nigeria.

You have Tinubu as president, a bunch of thieves as your lawmakers, a population made up of fraudsters & people who defend them, a police force that's almost like a gang & a justice system for the highest bidder & you want to pray & fast For God to do what exactly?

100 days fasting surely wouldn't do anything but since most Nigerians have short memories,I'm not surprised. Come 2027, people would vote the wrong person after collecting half loaves of bread

The biggest victims of Ukraine war are christians.Zelensky is murdering priests, blowing up churches while Biden is replacing all the christian ethics that have kept American families safe and righteous with woke virus. I will serve the Lord at all cost.

If nigerians haven't figured out by now that Adeboye is a scammer and an unintelligent old man, then y'all will need more than 100days fasting to reset your brains. Speaking of which, what does he actually mean by 100days fasting?... is he saying people should not eat for 100 long days all in the name of praying for nigeria?. I'm glad more and more people are waking up...if you're still a follower of Adeboye, its either you're deliberately ignorant of all thats going on or...you're just a natural fōōl

Instead of them to take action and put in more work on themselves he is telling them to go on 100 days fasting😅. Religion is one of Africa's biggest problems.

RCCG is not the only church that declares annual fasting & prayer other churches do it include MFM with 70days. Adeboye never forced anyone to fast bcos is not Muslims fasting that’s compulsory. Most prayer points are for yourself & families not for the nation alone. So rest!

The one mistake anyone can make is to expect Nigerians to be able to reason like normal human beings. The land may indeed be blessed, but the people are cursed. A people so heavily indoctrinated who don't even know and are uninterested in finding out that there's life outside of their religious beliefs. Everything for them revolves around their beliefs, and they will fight you like hell for trying to get them to use their braiïns to reason. They rather hold adamantly onto their beliefs despite all the evidence around there that it has done nothing to improve their lives. This is how cursed Nigerians are. So don't expect this common sense to make any sense to them because for them, "what God cannot do.." F00łish people.

Church goers ignorance is so blissful and the rulers like it this way. What happened to 100 days prayers of yesteryear? China is building vehicular bridges underwater and connecting cities and commerce, yet we're coaxed into useless annual prayers.

The Dangerous Cult of 'Fasting' Influencers. Fasting has its anecdotal benefits, yes. But it is overrated. And water fasting is highly overrated. But this video featuring a Cardiologist is amusingly nonsense. There is no study from Boston (from a "University?" - how vague!) that says 7-days water fasting reduces risk of cancer (what cancer?) by 70%. And there is no proof that fasting kills cancer cells in humans. Here is what fasting does to cancers in humans. Nothing. Fasting is now become a sort of religion-like cult for wellness influencers to rake in views and engagement. From a scientific standpoint, there are no realistically good human studies to prove anything from fasting that benefits cancers. I know, I know, "autophagy" and all that. Autophagy: Autophagy is the natural, conserved degradation of the cell that removes unnecessary or dysfunctional components. Yes, its a legit term and all. But in the context of cancer reduction and fasting in humans, it sounds like "immunity boosting," another wellness fraud term. The effects of fasting on cancer cells are all based on MOUSE studies, and none explicitly translated to humans. See this paper: everything is based on cells and tissues and small animal experiments: "While research on the subject is tantalizing, there’s little clinical evidence involving humans to substantiate the claims. Studies on the potential impacts on cancer treatment from various forms of fasting or calorie restriction, including the possibility that they reduce side effects, have been limited." "Fasting may not be appropriate for malnourished individuals or those with cancer cachexia, which results in a continuing loss of skeletal muscle mass, or for people with chronic diseases. Those with diabetes need to be very careful, because of the risk of hypoglycemia." "Based on our systematic review and meta-analysis, there is currently no evidence supporting the superiority of therapeutic fasting over non-fasting in preventing chemotherapy toxicity." - see here: Even intermittent fasting (IF) is overrated in cancer. "IF may be considered in adults seeking cancer-prevention benefits through means of weight management, butwhether IF itself affects cancer-related metabolic and molecular pathways remains unanswered. See here: Also this: "Fasting for short periods does not have any beneficial effect on the quality of life of cancer patients during treatment. Evidence on fasting regimes reducing side effects and toxicities of chemotherapy is missing." See here: The whole aspect of "fasting reducing cancer incidence" in the real world is just due to weight loss. Obesity is associated with at least 13 types of cancers and reversing obesity reduces risk of cancer - nothing to do with fasting killing off cancers cells in the body. And one can lose weight even without fasting. See here: Everything from prevention of adverse events of cancer, to reduction in side effects from chemotherapy, to slowing cancer growth by reducing glucose levels, to promoting cell regeneration by affecting autophagy is all LAB BASED MOLECULAR LEVEL HYPOTHESIS that has not been proven conclusively in humans. See here: Cancer patients must not starve. They must remain hydrated and they must eat a well balanced diet because cancer condition is highly demanding. And dont water fast for 7 days. Easy for people to make reels on it, but in real life, it may prove disastrous. Water fast does make you lose weight (because of starvation) but it is not at all a healthy way to lose weight. Stop with this fasting and cancer madness already.

The Science of Fasting - 2012 Documentary There is a reason so many religions and cultures across the world advocate for fasting to resolve health issues, and think every human being on earth should fast intermittently to help repair and detoxify themselves in this incredibly toxic world where we are being inundated from every vector. Obviously fasting can be detrimental if done excessively and the nutrition is inadequate in between fasting stints, but overall if done right, it's so obviously a great tool for our health that we should all take advantage of. It can by intermittent fasting with 18/6 or 16/8 schedules, it can be 1-2 days a month, it can be 1 week every 6 months, or whatever works best for your individual situation and health goals, but we should all be doing a little bit of fasting every now and again. Considering a large portion of the US is brutally addicted to food and severely overweight and unhealthy with countless diseases and ailments, we should be investing in fasting clinics such as the one shown in this documentary to help them break the addiction and get healthy. Robert F. Kennedy Jr has discussed detox clinics for drug abuse, and hope he can consider the same for obesity and chronic disease with fasting clinics. Many people are not disciplined and strong enough to not eat at home for a few days because of all the temptation, but if they had a place to stay with rules and restrictions, they could learn that discipline and then do it on their own. For anyone that thinks it's dangerous to fast for a long period of time, you should lookup the story of the scottish man back in 1965 who was over 450lbs and fasted for a year straight. If you have body fat on you, you can fast until it's gone, as long as you have water to drink.
