Asked Michael Porter Jr. about his breakout with the Nets and David Adelman saying the Nuggets used him correctly: “I think whenever you have a team that talented, a championship-caliber team, there's going to be guys that sacrifice. Some of the shots and some of the ways they probably could have used me, we had enough good players to where we could create a good shot in a different way. I didn't need to come off of a screen and be high usage in that way and shoot some of the tough shots that I'm shooting here, which I can make, but over there those may not be considered the most highest percentage compared to what we could get. So, that's with every good team. But it is good to be able to kind of show what I'm capable of and kind of get some of the recognition. It’s tough as a player when you know what you can do and you are asked to do something different and then people criticize you for it. That can be tough. But it's part of the NBA, it's part of being adaptable, and it's part of being on a really good team for a lot of years. You just got to accept your role and do what the coach asks in whatever situation you're in.”

Here's the first preview of a brand new product we're working on called Fizzy. It's our take on an idea/issue/bug tracker. Aiming to ship later this year. I plan on doing videos every week or two showing progress, changes, stuff we're stuck on, new ideas we're trying out, etc. A true look at a product in active development with plenty of unknowns ahead of it. This first video highlights the Collection view — the heart of the product. Cards + two simple columns. Straightforward to the core, approachable for any kind of work, not just software development. Mac Mini is super nice because you can use native iMessage for talking with OpenClaw. The only problem is that it's very expensive and you need to always have your Mac Mini on to run this setup. So I made a plugin to allow anyone on any computer (either Linux, Windows, or Mac) to be able to have access to iMessage natively. Even better, it has access to all of the reactions, triple dot indicator, etc. Check it out and let me know what you think.

But you need to be able to sit on the rear and be comfortable that it's going to stay with you. And today I had the snaps. It just can't seem to match the other guys. lando asked whether his relationship with oscar changed: “it's still the same. and i think we both are happy that that's how it is. it's because we both have a lot of respect for one another and we both understand the position that we're in. and we both treat the world of driving versus just personally what we're like away from the track, quite differently. that's how i've always been. i feel like i've always gone on well with my teammates since go-karting. i've always wanted to because it just makes my life more fun, more enjoyable and that's also why i'm here. it's because i love what i do, so the more i can do that, the better. but we still just very much understand that we're here, we work for mclaren, we want the best for the team. we work very hard and as drivers always do, you try and maximize your own performance more than anything. but then when we step out of the car, we can still have a joke. we still have laughs in our debriefs, and we still enjoy everything away from the track. so, no i think it's still better than ever in many ways. i think we're still very different people. he's very just calm down to earth, very relaxed, always looks just cool, and that's something i also admire quite a bit, is how just plain sailing he is with a lot of things. it's a good attribute to have. always hard to read what mood he's in, but i think probably for me, you see more visually kind of the moods i'm in. but otherwise, it's not like we go play golf together and do things like i have done with carlos, daniel i didn't play golf with. but we're still different people, but in terms of relationship, we get along well. we still work together well and i think it's still better than it's ever been”

oh matthew... what do you mean he suddenly thought of this and wanted to tell us to encourage us... i'm so lucky to be a fan of this sweet soul ☹️ 🦊 ah but you guys, i suddenly thought of this yknow, today i... i suddenly had this kind of thought today, it's just, life is extremely simple but i wondered maybe because it's simple it's somewhat tough, anyways just, just have fun living life. and just do what you want. and i'm always cheering you guys on and i'm always by your side, you guys know what i mean, right? i am always by your side so if you're having a tough time please feel free to tell me your worries or difficulties anytime, since i am always on your side. i will also go to you guys if i am having a hard time so please don't worry.

We're starting to leave the territory where you'd test an LLM by e.g. "create an svg of pelican on a bicycle". As one idea to generalize it, I was interested what Opus 5 would do if I gave it the first paragraph of the Lord of the Rings, a 1M token budget (~$10) and asked for three js render of it. Opus went off for ~2 hours and wrote 5500 lines of code that (procedurally) rendered the story. It's kind of janky but fun. But it's a bit mindboggling that the LLM has to place and orchestrate various polygon assets in (x,y,z) coordinates and write code that animates it all, and that it even does anything at all. I also like this kind of examples because no one in their right mind would ever spend the time to write something this custom but LLMs have all the stamina and patience in the world, so it's an example where we go from "no one would ever do this" to "sure, why not, it's ~free". There might be a lot more. But I'm excited about creating hyper custom worlds that you can imagine dropping players into, e.g. here to participate in the LoTR story as a spectator NPC, or one of the characters, or etc. Something like an ephemeral GTA of X on demand. Last thought is that the domain of worlds/games exposes a weakness in LLMs: they can't easily audit their work because they aren't able to efficiently and natively perceive videos or play games within them. Here, Opus 5 had to very slowly and painstakingly take screenshots at different points, and it messed up a few times and created a bunch of jank. An example of raw capability (multimodal, gameplay) that I think is still quite lacking.

🎤 Have you seen New giving his review? 🫍 I saw it, I saw it. This one has to go to him, since he's a dessert expert. Both of us has our own expertise, mine is savory food review. When it comes to dessert, I can only judge basically a 1 or a 10. 1 for not good, 10 for good. I can’t tell the difference between something that’s a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. As for New, he can tell the difference whether it's a 5 or a 6. It’s kind of like me with curry and chili paste. I can take just a little taste and can immediately tell if it's a 5 or a 6 but when it comes to desserts, I can only say, “This is good” or “This is not good.” and that's it. 🎤 But that means you won't get a taste of the original since they're improving the drink. 🫍 Yeah, I saw it as well. I think that’s a good thing. Since we're a family, and when it comes to the areas we’re each experts in, we can share our ideas and contribute to make it better in the best way possible.

Yunjin talked about the significance of slowness in a world that moves so fast & virtue of patience ❤️‍🩹 “What I've been thinking about lately is the importance of being deliberately slow about things and allowing yourself a pocket of time in your day to not be rushed by anyone or anything, not even yourself. When we had our show in Shizuoka, we got on, we took the train there, the Shinkansen, instead of taking a flight like we would normally and it was really really nice because we were allotted an amount of time in our day to basically just sit with ourselves. You know, that's what I love about being on a plane or just in any vehicle, because you are not driving it or you could be driving it, but you can’t travel in a split second. There's time. There's a time of arrival that you can't control and you just kind of have to wait and sit with yourself. But I feel this need to be on airplane mode when I do have those opportunities to be off my phone and just, like, disconnected from the world, but also not disconnected from the world. You know what I mean? Like, when you're on a plane, you're still part of the world. You're just, like, not on the stratosphere, like, physically. And it kind of like, forces you to be, like. To, like, separate yourself for a second, like a couple hours or a couple days, if you're like a layover or something. I found myself looking out the window of the train and just, like, enjoying myself. Because everything is so fast, and I think everything. Ever since then, I've been deliberately, like, making an effort to do one thing very slowly, and it's very nice. It’s good. It's a good way to kind of put your feet back on the ground and remind yourself that not everything has to be you know, it's okay to take a breather and just wait. It's a virtue. Patience is a virtue, you know, but it's also virtue to enjoy it and gift yourself that time. It's kind of rebellious in a way, because no one can take that right from you. Shipped the next version of ✨ 1. You can finally sign up and create projects. 2. Projects are to group prompts you want to monitor for your brand or product visibility across LLMs. 3. You can upgrade to get access to more prompts and models. I know it is not perfect. I know there will be a lot of issues. And it lacks a lot of features. Working on it! Buttigieg: We have to recognize that if something's going to take a long time, that's all the more reason to do it now.
