And yes - it's working on device too. Vibe coded, built and deployed right from the Codex App using GPT 5.2 and 5.2-Codex. Hard to hold the camera and play with one hand. But you get the idea.

Do you use our Build iOS Apps plugin for Codex? I use it often to build new apps and help me on various iOS projects. It also comes with a skill to open server-sim right into the app in the app browser! Probably the feature I use the most!

CODEX SKILL THAT STOPS WASTING YOUR CODEX USAGE! I made a Codex skill that gives every task a clear budget before it starts. Choose Saver, Balanced, Full Power, or define your own limits. It reduces: → unnecessary repository scans → repeated commands and huge logs → speculative refactors → redundant web research → unnecessary subagents → endless retry loops It still runs the essential checks needed for a trustworthy result. If the budget isn’t enough, it creates a Markdown checkpoint you can open in Codex and resume later. It doesn’t increase your account limits. It helps you use them better. Install: npx --yes codex-budget-mode@latest 100% open source. Repo in bio.

You can now orchestrate Fable 5, Sol, and any model inside Codex with one plugin. It's called Codex-Orchestration. Assign Fable 5 as the advisor, Sol as the executor, or any model to any role. Then define the order they work in. Codex handles the routing. I ran Fable 5 High as planner with GPT-5.6 Sol Extra High as executor on a set of issues Opus and GPT-5.5 always struggled with. Done in 30 minutes. 40% fewer limit hits. 2x faster implementation. Install it by pasting this into Codex: "Install Codex Orchestration: codex plugin marketplace add Cjbuilds/Codex-Orchestration codex plugin add codex-orchestration@codex-orchestration Verify the installation, then tell me to start a new task." Then assign your models: @ codex-orchestration advisor: Claude Fable 5 High, Executor: GPT-5.6 Sol High Open source. Tweak the routing however you want.

The Mintlify agent just got an upgrade, it can now: → Read from your codebase and pull requests → Handle much longer context tasks → Read and replace images It's never been easier to update your docs.

GPT-5.5 in Codex is built for long-session agent work. But context still doesn't follow you across projects, agents, or teammates. ByteRover does that + Save you tokens -> No rewriting context when you switch from Claude Code to Codex. Now connecting Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes, and 22+ more agents. Your context moves with you. → personal context for solo work → team context for shared decisions and bug history

How to actually get the most out of Codex instead of bookmarking another great guide you’ll never open again: We turned this article into an interactive workbench. Before prompting Codex, open the workbench, choose your task type, and check whether you’re using the right Codex capabilities. Built by Codex inside Open Design. If you want the workbench, reply “Open Design” below and I’ll send it to you.

Claude vs Codex Day 4 of vibe-designing. Super happy with what I got from Claude and Codex. I wanted both to follow the same direction, but I got slightly different results, and I’m honestly happy with both. Which one would you pick?

You can now build iOS camera apps directly in Codex! ~ / npx serve-sim Agents can even use video files to develop headlessly in the cloud, run e2e tests, and work in parallel. No more bottleneck on physical sensors!

You can now review the code written by Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and more directly in Warp, and send inline comments straight to the agent. It's like a PR review without having to leave your terminal. Try it out!

dots. An always-on agent with its own cloud computer and access to your plugins and context. Powered by GPT-6 Astra, your dot proactively keeps your projects moving. Here’s what developers can hand off to their dot: – Triage recurring bug reports and feature requests across your connected apps. – Scope failing builds and feature improvements around your priorities. – Build and test changes with Codex, then bring back complete PRs for your review. Open your dot’s cloud computer to inspect the work, or connect your own so it can work with your local files and code.

Working on a “Hand-Off to Mac” way to load the chats from the Codex Remote Control for iOS app to the Codex App Codex app-server doesn’t quite support a live update So I decided to find a workaround A button that forces the closing of the Codex App and reopening it in the chat created from iPhone Would you use this button?

I’m joining OpenAI Codex to work on the future of agentic development! At Cursor, I got to see the shift from autocomplete to agents. The next step isn’t a better IDE. It’s an Agent Development Environment (ADE): systems and tools for orchestrating agents, reasoning over their outputs, and making them autonomous enough to reliably complete ambitious work. After chatting with Alexander Embiricos and Tibo, it was clear that Codex is the best place to realize this vision. The team has consistently shipped SOTA models for agentic coding (check out gpt-5.3-codex) and I’m pumped for the future that the new Codex App points to. What I’m most excited about is the broader mission: accelerating the knowledge work economy. All agents are coding agents, and we’re already seeing Codex used across every job function within organizations. I’m extremely grateful for my time at Cursor, working with the incredible team, and I’m proud of what we built together. I’m excited to take an even bigger swing with Codex. If you’re curious to get a glimpse of where we are headed, download the Codex App! If you want to work on this mission, please apply or reach out - we are hiring across all functions! You can just build things.

Codex CLI just got a major refresh, with a new look and powerful new capabilities. We’re continuing to invest in Codex CLI for developers who live in the command line. New full-screen interface, better readability, and ways to manage parallel work, all inside your terminal.
