The new Battlefield 6 Helicopter "rifleaim" just dropped. Introducing: AssistedAim. We all skipped this setting because we want to fly manually. But you can't freelook and steer at the same time on manual flight. The freelook aiming has to be deleted. More details on why: The vehicles in BF6 are a mess. The strength of a helicrew should come from the positioning of the pilot and from how he deploys his gunner. Pilot damage output was always just an auxiliary force to aid with the destruction of a vehicle. Piloting skills are rare in the community. This new assisted flight setting makes it braindead easy to fly a helicopter and lets you position and employ your own weaponry BETTER than the manual setting. The worst part: These rocket pods. They are MADE to farm infantry, FASTER than your gunner can. Go back to having to fly the helicopter yourself, having to AIM your nose to deal damage, and having to carefully balance the helicopter to position it around cover, and you will find that the 250 kill manhattan games that are popping up recently will remain the exception, and not become the norm. One usual downside to inaccurate flying skills would be that the gunner would have a hard time hitting (as seen in BF2, BF3, BF4, BF2042) but the new camera stabilization in BF6 makes this completely irrelevant. You just zoom and hold the mouse button. It's not fun for anyone but the person racking up the kills. In its current state, the helicopter needs to be nerfed. But it's currently kept in check by the lightspeed RPG which, in turn, makes tanks unplayable; as well as the braindead easy TOW which harrasses jets and helicopters from anywhere equally without even giving them a chance to dodge it. Oh, and did I mention the jets that have a 200ms TTK on the helicopter, and thus on each other? It's just a rolling avalanche of balancing issues that currently most people that loved vehicle gameplay in prior battlefields I talk to, do not find very fun or engaging. You have once again concocted an ecosystem that is flawed in its entirety because you wanted to reinvent the wheel. I do NOT want to see what the littlebird scout helicopter, if it is added, would look like on this control scheme. As per usual, less would have been more. Absolutely wild footage, this is a real world engine failure in a MD500 (Think Magnum P.I. helicopter) over Kauai, Hawaii out on a tour flight. You’ll probably have to watch this a few times but the video starts out with the helicopter under power and then the engine sound goes silent. The beeping you hear is the engine-out audio beep to inform the pilot that engine power has been lost. This maneuver that pilot is doing is called a Autorotation and the way to think about helicopter flight, the engine is turning this big fan (rotor blades) on top of the body and sucking in air from the top and projecting it downward to overcome the force of gravity. When engine power is lost, you experience a reverse in airflow because now gravity takes over and the air flow is coming from the bottom of the main rotor disk. The only thing the pilot can really do is to make sure the rotors keep spinning by changing the pitch of the rotor blades through the use of the “collective” which is a lever next to the pilot’s left leg and it only moves up and down. The pilot has to manipulate the collective during an auto rotation to make sure the blades keep spinning. If the pilot pulls up too much on the collective, the rotor blades will bite too much of air causing a resistance and slow the rotors down. If the pilot doesn’t pull enough collective.. the blades will speed up and potentially cause a catastrophic failure. The other control the pilot has is called the cyclic. This cyclic sits between the pilots legs and and manipulates individual pitch of the rotor blades to tilt the rotor disk aka “big fan” and make the helicopter go forward, backwards, left, right. So essentially in this type of emergency, you have to manipulate the controls in a delicate balance because no matter what, gravity is taking you to the ground because the engine is no longer producing power. The pilot did an outstanding job here given the geography and limited amount of flat terrain to put the helicopter on the ground. Thankfully it sounds like no souls were lost and only one injury according to a news report (see the link below)👇 Of course there is a lot more to helicopter aerodynamics but I’m trying my best to put this in simpler to digest terms. Big thanks to Combat Learjet for sharing and definitely worth a follow!

SkywatcherHQ Presents A Flock Of Birds As A Class Of UAP Time To Air It Out, #Ufotwitter In my opinion, what Skywatcher is doing by putting out these different UAP classes accompanied with videos is doing far more harm than good. As you can see below in what they claim is “Tetra” class UAP, is clearly a flock of birds. Even MarikvR, who is part of this segment, says in the comments responding to Mick West that even he thinks they are birds. My argument here is this: while others will say “at least they’re out there in the field and documenting”, others are starting to realize that it looks VERY bad when you present a flock of birds as a “class of UAP” and expect to be taken serious. In the videos they collected, it should have been easily determined that these were birds and move on. There is absolutely no structure here at all. It’s a broken-up “Flying V” formation that birds have been doing for centuries. It’s this type of blatant disregard to identify what something is to try to push a narrative that it’s something “anomalous” that leads people to start to think that there is an actual psyop or disinformation campaign going on. And guess what? It’s not the US Government or Intel agencies…it’s well-funded believers and activists pushing this nonsense. Honestly, and I’m not trying to be a jerk here, but jakebarber Garry P. Nolan David Grusch Fred Baker Marik James Fowler should all be terribly embarrassed by this. This is NOT Science!
