I really like how, in this moment from The Book Of Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker actually gave Grogu a fair choice as to whether or not he wanted to continue training to be a Jedi or return to Din Djarin. It’s a great progression from the Jedi Order that we see in earlier stories set within the Prequel Era, and really says a lot about how Luke wanted to teach the next generation of Jedi.

I’ve always had an appreciation for this small moment from The Clone Wars where Ahsoka rescues Anakin from Buzz Droids destroying his Jedi Interceptor. It’s a brief, fun scene, but one that shows a lot of growth for Ahsoka’s character, and how exactly Anakin’s training has ultimately equipped her for survival. Also perfectly foreshadows Anakin saving Obi-Wan from a Buzz Droid attack at the start of Revenge of the Sith. It’s like poetry, it rhymes!

Dooku’s final confrontation with Yaddle in Tales of the Jedi seriously remains one of the most underrated lightsaber duels in all of Star Wars. This moment also solidifying Dooku’s loyalty to Darth Sidious only makes Yaddle’s eventual demise all the more heartbreaking to watch. Really makes you wonder what would’ve happened had he actually listened to her.

This brief exchange between Thrawn and Morgan Elsbeth from Tales of the Empire is genuinely one of the most well-written moments in Star Wars animation IMO. Not only does it add more development for Morgan’s character and showcase Thrawn’s awareness that The Empire is not an invulnerable construct, but this moment also plants the seeds for how what remains of The Empire will operate after the events of Return of the Jedi. It almost feels like something you’d hear during an Imperial meeting in an episode of Andor. The writing on display here is just as incredible as it is daunting.
