I’ve been clear: school boards must put students first. When they fail to meet that responsibility, we will act decisively. The legislation I introduced last week, if passed, would allow me to step in quickly when a board strays from its core mission.

This week, Ron DeSantis announced a clear and concise process for "turnaround schools". These changes will ensure no student is trapped at a failing school in Florida. A new charter school must give preference to kids in the previous school zone and must serve the same grade levels as the previous school. Governor DeSantis: "We do believe in Florida that everybody can succeed. I don't care if you're rich. I don't care if you're poor. I don't care if you're black. I don't care if you're white. You can succeed. But it's our responsibility to provide the tools necessary for success. And that means if a school's failing, we have to act." Florida puts the best interests of kids first. That's why we are & will continue to be the education state. ✅

CBSE has just made Sugar Board compulsory in every school! From July 15th, every CBSE school must display a Sugar Board revealing the shocking sugar content in soft drinks. Every CBSE Principal has to send the government photos of the sugarboard in their school! Over 2 crore students study in CBSE schools, and this is India’s biggest step towards fighting against childhood obesity and diabetes. 1.5 years ago, when I started the Sugar Board Movement, I had no idea it would become a national movement, but I’m so grateful for the government for taking this up!
