This corruption is why the ultra rich get tax cuts while you pay more for everything.

American politics makes more sense when you understand that in different ways, both parties, their pundits, their operatives & their media machines are trying to help their donors depoliticize the looting of America. They are trying to make politics, voting and elections about literally anything other than every single person being fleeced at every single minute of every single day. Why do they want to depoliticize that systemic pillaging? Because they do not want anyone to think that elections can change the economic superstructure that enriches their donors. They do not want the political conversation to be about how nobody can financially survive - because if the political conversation is about that, the elections might actually create a mandate to do something about it. The line in Wall Street sums up their attitude: "We make the rules pal...You're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy are you?"

Mandates that students "reach their own conclusions about all controversial events." "They say Nazis should be taught from 'both sides' which is insane and very fascist," said one of the college students protesting the bill. The bill also prohibits universities from taking positions on a "controversial belief or policy."
