I've been working on 3D render recently this is actually very interesting, I'm curious to know if you prefer 2D, 2.5D or 3D render?

I try to do different mediums just to advance my skills. I would rather be above average in everything than just really good at one singular thing.

I prefer 2.5D more :))) But I guess each style has its own purpose depending on the situation, right? :))

2.5d for sure. Best of both worlds in my opinion.

Tired of this one

Well you mastered it indeed. But being tired is your signal to try something else. Then I think for animation 2D is the next best thing. 3D if you go for more realism if you ask me. Don't be tired, enjoy!

Dope. It's working, did you storyboard it out first or just let it generate many cuts and edit what worked?

Определенно стоило. Все же я фанат полу реализма. Для меня никакие 2Д не заменят его.

Your aesthetic stands out either way, but anyone with $5 can clone/copy it. What’s missing is a 5+ minute series people get invested in & want to come back to…an original world, characters & plot with a soul are much harder to copy. Give the copycats some real work to do.

Love this style a lot. It has the 2D/anime feeling but the 3D makes it just feel more fresh in a way

This feels like black magic. draw 2d sprite, get 3d render. an experimental tool i am working on for browser pixel art editor. gonna have to add armatures now.

Blender keynote by @ToniMortero, including "Cannibal World". Very interesting for understanding that what you may think is 2D is actually 3D. >>

This is some of our prototyping footage as we tried to figure out how to render 2D gameplay onto an object in a 3D space. It's actually the same book in the final game! If you'd like to hear about how we made The Plucky Squire, let us know in the comments ✍️

I'm getting a new office space in November. I went today and took pictures and a 3D scan with some app on my phone. I gave all the files to Codex and told it to render it while I got on a call. Here you can see the clean render, and the 3D scan as well! Wild times.

Zero Hand Tracking is here! Working on the OS and sensor integration. Accesibility is key, that's why apps are HTML/CSS/JS 2D web apps render as panels in front of you. It's really easy to make this kind of app for Zero 3D apps, like below, run over WebXR, here using #threejs

Fun fact : The loading animations while riding the trains & elevators are actually Live2D animations. She's made of several 2D objects layered together and they're moved in a very subtle way to make it seem like she's a 3D render. Clever! #metroid #metroiddread #samus

Feels like playing dress-up! I've been working on a tool for my website since I often get questions for pricing(on 2d and 3d, alts, etc) so this is meant to solve this questions c: will be live in a couple hours(on bronze tier only for now, 3d over the weekend)

I've added a new 3D smoke render mode to my #WebGPU Fluid Simulation. It's not an easy task to keep the best performance & quality when using a volume renderer on top of a fluid simulation, so lighting artifacts may appear if 3d enabled. Try it yourself!

AI video has a control problem. Most AI tools generate in 2D. Filmmakers think, stage, and direct in 3D. Today we're introducing Flow Studio 3D Editor + Canvas. Build and direct your scene in 3D. Then use Canvas to render and refine the final look with leading AI models. Stay in 2D when speed matters. Move into 3D when you need precision. AI can build the scene. You still call the shots. Start directing:

Did you know that you can split the screen in ZBrush in half? This is such a handy feature if you're working with scans, or 3D models for reference.
