I've made some slight lighting improvements! 🌊 The shader now simulates sunlight absorption when the geometry is underwater inside a tunnel.

How possible would it be to add real IOR to the water? I know games avoid this due it to performance and game play reasons but it would still be interesting to see some kind of screen space based refraction like how screen space reflections are done.

I've already experimented with Screen Space Refraction: It is avoided in Gamedev because it can't be calculated in screen space. RT refraction would be too slow; calculating it using only screen data is too buggy (lack of data behind meshes).
