This may come as a shock to a lot of people… but this woman and her family intentionally flood their entire backyard to water their trees and grass. It’s called flood irrigation — they literally let the whole yard fill up with water on purpose. She walks through and shows just how full it gets, and says people are always surprised this is how they do it. The water is untreated canal water (not city drinking water) that’s specifically allocated for this purpose. Have you ever seen (or used) flood irrigation like this?
