I started writing up the documentation and need to do a bunch of testing to make sure everything works as intended! There are currently 91 searches you can run: - 46 optimisation searches across 11 actor types - 45 bug searches across 10 actor types People seem most interested in lighting optimisation, so here are a couple of examples of the light optimisation searches you can run: 🔸Lights with no max draw distance set 🔸Lights with Cast Shadow enabled/disabled 🔸Lights with specific mobility modes 🔸Lights with edited lighting channels Let me know what you would most want to be able to search for! #gamedev

Top 1 upgrade for your development environment: Start using Dev Containers. During every cohort of my Machine Learning Engineering program, 100+ developers try to run a complex system on their computers. I was wasting 10+ hours every week troubleshooting individual configurations. It was exhausting! I started using Dev Container, and now people are up and running in 2 minutes with no issues. Dev Containers are probably one of the best upgrades you'll make to your environment. They asked me to record a video in class to show them how to create a Dev Container for any project. Here is that video.

Local issues are not partisan issues. I am opposed to establishing political parties at the municipal level. There are many pressing issues that require a collaborative approach to municipal governance, and local elected officials need to be able to work across partisan lines. Our Provincial government should focus on the issues that matter to Edmontonians, such as paying their fair share of property taxes, instead of these changes that will create division and more red tape. I sat down to share some of my thoughts. #yegcc

Write 100x better code using AI (for free!) Install the Codacy extension (VSCode, Cursor, WindSurf). This will install an MCP Server locally on your computer. Your coding copilot will use this server with the Codacy CLI to check every line of code it generates. The way this works is pretty awesome (assuming you are using Cursor): 1. You ask Cursor to generate some code 2. Cursor writes the code 3. Cursor then calls Codacy's MCP Server to check it 4. The MCP Server will use the Codacy CLI to find any issues 5. Cursor will fix the issues and call the MCP server again 6. When the code passes all checks, you are done Level of effort on your side: literally zero! Code quality and security because of this: 100x better!
