JUST IN: Four people briefed on the DC crash say the Black Hawk was flying too high *and* was outside of its approved path when it collided with the American Airlines flight, according to the NYT. The helicopter pilot acknowledged how they were getting too close to the plane yet somehow collided with it anyway after being warned by the air traffic controller. It would be really cool to see it happen again

"I didn't like the 3-point shot" - Michael Jordan Mike talked about always ATTACKING the teeth of the defense, never settling on chucking 3s. He never wanted to let up putting the defense under pressure. It's pretty self explanatory no matter what Jordan or any stans/haters say. NBA introduced it in 1979 when Jordan was already halfway done with high school, he just didn't grow up with it at all. He basically learned the game and developed his whole playstyle without it existing. Would he have been a good 3p shooter if he grew up with it? Yes, he would lock in and master it like the rest of his game ✌️ (RYD TT)

I think this is a fair statement: Golfers - while putting a 30 footer - are consciously reducing anatomical ranges of motion in the many joints and limbs from the hands to the feet - especially when compared to the range of motions used during a 300 yard drive. You WOULD THINK that reducing these anatomical ranges of motion while putting, a better overall control of the face-to-path relationship would emerge. Most golfers would ASSUME that their face-to-path control would be noticeably better on 10 30-footers when compared to their face-to-path control on 10 full powered drives. This HAS TO MAKE SENSE because the rate of closure of the club face on a drive is in the 2500° per second range while the rate of closure of the club face on a 30 foot putt is in the 30° per second range. Well, lo and behold, it does not. And in fact, many high level golfers show better face-to-path control with their driver at 115 mph than their face-to-path control with their putter at 6 mph. So, this begs the question for golf instructors and competitive golfers - in the pursuit of more accuracy from shot to shot, is it wise to attempt to reduce your own personal rate of closure with any club - driver through putter - in the hopes that it will bring “better face-to-path control” which would lead to more accurate shot outcomes? Start thinking. It may mean a lot to your personal journey towards better golf.

$I never believed A.I. could replicate the quality of 3D channels like ZackDFilms. But that is coming to an end. It was always so far off, required so much prompting and you just faced too much bs. However, the gap between A.I and high quality 3D animations really is closing faster than I thought. A person who has barely any editing experience can now make a video like the one I linked below by using Nano Banana Pro + Kling A.I. Yes, it may not be quite there yet. Yes, it still requires a lot of prompting. But this is not slop content. And it's improving rapidly. Those who believe these A.I. videos won't reach the top standard we see in 3D Shorts are just coping imo. Paired with voiceover + sound design, you have a high quality video done for a fraction of the cost and time. The need for advanced skills is disappearing, which has big pros and cons. I'm very curious to see what will be considered as 'high barrier to entry' in the short-form space by the end of next year. The opportunities are endless with A.I. - you have to use it to your advantage.$

Who here was a fan of this one? Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri (1996) is a shooter/mech sim from Looking Glass Technologies. You command Strike Force Centauri, leading up to three AI squadmates through countless missions - from recon, raids, and rescues to assaults - fighting pirates and the Earth Hegemony. Despite high praise from magazines for its innovation, it was a commercial flop. It sold around 100,000 copies but failed to recoup the high development costs driven by expensive (and pretty cheesy) FMV cutscenes. Super-high system requirements, no multiplayer, and dated graphics by release doomed it, contributing to Looking Glass’s later financial struggles (RIP). It was originally planned with more tactical gameplay, but late in development the team shifted toward "more action," turning the end into a rush job. It felt a bit like MechWarrior on life support - ok maybe a tad bit harsh. If you were a fan of such games it was certainly not bad.

COACHES: I'm not a fan of the 3 players up and a defensemen back faceoff alignment on the PK. With a clean faceoff win for the PP, it creates a 2v1 with the two high PP players and the inside forward on the PK who is now isolated. It leaves the PK really vulnerable for a quick strike. This goal is the perfect example. NJ wins it clean back and Hughes is able to find Meier right away for the goal. Great job on the prescout by NJ and execution by the players.

Let me get this straight. The Liberal Finance Minster’s spouse works for Alto. Alto is the company who the Liberals have committed $90 billion of taxpayer money to build a high-speed rail between Quebec City and Toronto. The Finance Minister included this commitment in his budget….but it gets worse. The Finance Minister paid an executive at Alto to write the budget speech. This really smells like layers of Liberal corruption. What do you think?
