I don't understand why in SH2R James can't attack nor kill Maria. It served as a subtle hint that James is capable of killing someone he loves, and attacking her with the chainsaw made her scream just like the monsters, hinting at her true nature. Instead, in SH2R James refuses to aim at her, and if the player tries to aim at her she simply complains about the flashlight. While attacking Maria may appear as a useless mechanic, knowing the full story gives it a whole new meaning, and I wish it wasn't left out of the remake. Perhaps they could have added just a little hint that it crosses James' mind for a moment to hurt Maria. #silenthill #silenthill2

If you go back to the Observation Room after encountering Pyramid Head, the intercom will turn on again. This time it will be Mary crying and asking "Do you hate me?" and James will get head tremors. James gives Maria the attention and care he failed to give to Mary, and Maria gives him the affection and gratitude he didn't get from Mary when he visited, who instead would get aggressive and lash out at him. Unlike in the Leave ending, where he's honest because he has truly regretted everything. Even when his memory of Mary confronts him about the truth, he barely acknowledges it, and then silently agrees when she says she was a burden. #silenthill #silenthill2 #silenthill2remake

Watching this clip actually made me feel a lot better. Even though #JAMES was crying and trying to hold back his tears, I really think they were tears of happiness. The way he looked out at the fans and smiled… I could really feel how happy and touched he was, and how grateful he was for all the love he was getting. Honestly, just seeing that is enough for me. No matter what was going through his mind at that moment, I just want him to know that so many people love him and are always there cheering him on. I just want him to be happy and have nothing but good things come his way. And even when things get tough, I hope he’ll always have the strength to get through them. I’m so, so proud of you, JAMES 🥹❤️
