This system will be implemented in whole nation 😳 The Tamil Nadu government has tightened restrictions on political activities inside government schools, directing that political party members and private individuals should not enter classrooms or conduct political events on school premises. Events held in government schools must maintain political neutrality and have educational relevance. The issue gained fresh attention after the headmistress of a Panchayat Union Middle Girls’ School in Krishnarayapuram, Karur district, allegedly showed a live telecast of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s public meeting to students during school hours on Friday. A video showing uniformed students watching Vijay’s speech on a classroom projector went viral on social media. Following the controversy, the headmistress was suspended. Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Raj Mohan said the screening was the headmistress’s own decision, indicating that there was no government direction to show the Chief Minister’s event to students.

“Mom, can you read my essay?” A routine question for some students, and not always an option for others. In a recent AI workshop, with a great group of educators, I shared how AI can be used to help students with helpful feedback on their work and writing. Through an equity lens, this use allows students to receive valuable assistance, who may otherwise not have support at home. AI can help to level the playing field for all students, regardless of whether or not they have support available at home. #ai #ArtificialInteligence #aiinedu #aiineducation

I have such a huge problem with what is happening here that I don't even know where to begin. This isn't education. Schools may not promote or oppose any political party, and teachers and principals may not influence learners’ political alignment. This is political mobilisation and indoctrination at a very young age. Having them chant a party slogan uses them as political instruments, which is unconstitutional at this age. Ironically, these protections exist because of South Africa’s past, where schools were once used as political tools under apartheid. The post-1994 system deliberately said: “Never again will children be used to push political power.” WTF is this Dep. Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Iran seems to have gotten its hands on a DIRCM system, which is installed on aircraft to divert heat-seeking missiles. Most likely they have only the laser emitter and not the classified controller, but that is still valuable. China can now compare it to its own system and help design missiles invulnerable to this.

OAU transport system was near perfect, adequate buses and bikes, we rarely experienced queues until the First Lady came and decided she didn’t like the ease of transportation and introduced “change” by donating CNG buses. The school management in turn banned all motorcycles and commercial buses on campus and subjected over 30,000 students to just about 50 buses and a few tricycles. OAU has one of the largest land masses of any Nigerian university, yet students are now stranded daily. This is a Monday morning where students are supposed to rush for class, but they are stuck at the campus gate because of the inefficiency of the CNG buses. Students are struggling to go to class in the morning and in the evenings to even get back to their hostels. Students staying off campus now spend almost double to get to campus, all alternative transport means have been removed The management have cars to bypass all of this, but majority of students do not. Yet they released statements talking about how the buses will “ease transportation” and even implied students appreciate the system. Meanwhile, students are trekking, missing classes, and spending hours in queues. Let it be clear that students do not appreciate this system. It has made our lives harder, not better. What used to be a smooth system has now become a daily struggle. There are many pressing issues in this school, but they chose to dismantle a working transport system and replace it with hardship. We can no longer remain silent. Let the whole world know what OAU students are going through. Texas public education has gone off the rails after years under the leadership of TEA Commissioner Mike Morath. The sight of students being allowed to leave campuses en masse, escorted by ISD police, highlights a systemic failure within the public school system. Texas’ largest school districts have effectively been taken over by the political left and have operated outside the bounds of state law without facing consequences. While Governor Abbott has called on Morath to investigate Austin ISD after hundreds of students were seen leaving school and walking miles to protest during instructional hours, there is little reason to believe meaningful change will occur without new leadership at the very top of the Texas education system. Even a brief review of social media shows similar walkouts across Fort Worth Independent School District , Waco ISD , Austin ISD , schools in the San Antonio area, Conroe ISD, and others—some reportedly involving staff participation.
