Smith calls for Canadian provinces to break down trade barriers and to import other goods from countries upholding existing free trade agreements. She says Canada holds a "trump card" in the trade dispute — Alberta's energy resources. "We in Alberta would love to increase the amount of oil and gas we send our southern neighbours ... We have made a lot of Americans very wealthy. It is in both of our countries' best interest to double the amount of Canadian crude coming south."

Each and every time Alberta separatism is brought up in the media they go after Danielle Smith for stoking the separatist movement. They rarely if ever bring up 11 years of being ignored & basically left out of the Canadian conversation by the Liberal Government as the true cause of Alberta Separatism.

Full section from @ChristyClarkBC. I understand this is a Laurentian tendency but calling Alberta separatism or a referendum stupid and saying Danielle Smith, a duly-elected premier, is "not qualified to be premier of a province" doesn't help the pro-federalist cause.

I need Danielle or someone from her team to explain this to me because this isn't making sense. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith: "Let's have an aggressive target to double our population." Smith wants to get Alberta's population to 10m people so we can be taken seriously by the federal government. Huh?! We barely have the infrastructure to sustain current population. Our water infrastructure in Calgary is falling apart. Alberta is already the province of choice for people to move to and it's creating mass unaffordability in the rental market and housing. Alberta is already full of LMIA scams and leading the country in unemployment. Why do we need to destroy our province and make the mistakes other provinces made to peacock for the federal government?

"Do you know who is the most popular politician in Alberta is? Mark Carney, not Danielle Smith. I would encourage her to remember what country she belongs to." Pure derangement.
