Death Valley, known as the driest place in North America, is teeming with life with a rare blossoming of wildflowers known as a super bloom, transforming a normally brown desert landscape into carpets of gold. “This landscape that sometimes people think of as desolate or devoid of life is coming alive right now with this really beautiful palette of colors,” said park ranger Matthew Lamar. Death Valley also experienced a super bloom in 2024 after record-setting precipitation.

BREAKING: About 500 Marines have been mobilized to respond to the Los Angeles protests, according to CNN. The Marines are based out of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine-Palms, California, and will join the National Guard. The Marines will *not* be "conducting law enforcement activity" unless the president invokes the Insurrection Act. Twentynine-Palms is outside of Joshua Tree National Park in the desert and is about a two and a half hour drive from downtown LA.

🚨#BREAKING: The White House National Christmas Tree Has Fallen 📌#Washington | #DC The National Christmas Tree, where President Joe Biden was scheduled to deliver the Christmas tree lighting, has been toppled over after a significant gust of wind occurred, according to the National Park Service. The incident on the White House Ellipse, and crews are actively working to carefully lift and secure the tree back into place. The National Park Service is currently evaluating the condition of the National Christmas Tree. Officials at the National Park state that the show will still go on as scheduled on Thursday.
