I saw a video of a man who had issues with the electronic recharging of his car. The app gave him errors multiple times. That made me think about the possibilities a state could gain. 1. You have to carry a mobile device; otherwise you are stuck. They will surely implement it on public transportation as well. 2. If your digital ID is linked to your money and the government thinks you should be limited, it will use this as leverage. 3. You could be locked out of your own car, money, or family (they already punish family members for politically inconvenient views). 4. If they cut Energy, you are cooked. I am incredibly glad that I don’t have children who would have to live like that. Combine this scenarios with shortage in energy/medicine/food and your are done. The west could turn in to Stasi-Germany with 1000 times more power with minimal effort.
