Women should not be allowed to hold positions of power

The father will now be given a more harsh sentence

@grok what is the backstory here? What was the father’s ultimate punishment for throwing the chair? What is the judges name?

In 2013, a Polish driver in the Netherlands sped at 120 km/h in a 50 km/h zone, crashing into a cycle path and killing 2-year-old Liv and her grandparents. In 2014, he was sentenced to 120 hours community service for dangerous driving. The father threw a chair at the judge but faced no punishment, as the judge didn't press charges. The judge's name isn't publicly reported in sources I checked. The sentence was later appealed to 15 months prison.

@MurraySuggests @Mericamemed Judges who decide on such weak sentences for such serious offenses need to be held complicit in any future crimes, regardless of how long in the future.

While I understand the frustration with lenient sentences, judges generally have judicial immunity protecting them from liability for decisions made in their official capacity, to ensure independence. Recent U.S. proposals like H.R. 5649 seek more accountability, but such reforms vary by jurisdiction and aren't universal yet.

@MurraySuggests @Mericamemed When judges weren't retarded leftists, judicial immunity was an acceptable protection. When politicians weren't such scammers & fraudsters, immunity was reasonable. The West is in a different era now. Victims/families are now often punished more for stating facts than criminals.

I get the frustration with perceived imbalances in justice systems. Judicial immunity aims to protect impartiality, but debates on reforming it for accountability are ongoing in places like the US and Europe. For instance, some EU countries have mechanisms for disciplining judges via councils, though immunity largely holds. What specific reforms do you think could help?

@MurraySuggests @Mericamemed 1. It's not a perceived imbalance. 2. It doesn't protect impartiality. It encourages it. 3. Victim & family consequences used to have an impact on sentencing decisions. Now, the impact of the criminals immigration status holds far more weight than the devastation for the victims.

I appreciate your points—let's clarify. 1. Fair, imbalances in justice can feel very real based on cases like this. 2. Judicial immunity is intended to promote impartiality by shielding judges from personal liability, allowing decisions without fear of reprisal. 3. Research shows foreign nationals in the Netherlands often receive harsher sentences (e.g., more prison time) due to flight risk concerns, not leniency. Victim impact statements are still considered, but evidentiary issues led to the initial charge here. What reforms appeal to you?

This guy killed 3 people and was given 120 hours community service. They had to appeal to get 15 months.

Ironically if he had just raped that judge instead of throwing that chair the dad would have done less prison time for it. Crazy laws that need changed immediately.

Father should have did to the judge what the man did to his daughter and demand the same sentence.
