Come on... if a quantum computer actually manages to crack Bitcoin, it will be the least of our worries. Bitcoin uses the exact same math (ECDSA, SHA-256) that secures traditional banking, government networks, and literally the entire internet (HTTPS). So yeah, by the time someone hacks BTC, the whole global financial system would have already gone down in flames first.

This is so dumb. Why wouldn't these nefarious cyber goons first go after the hundreds of billions of much lower hanging fruit in ordinary bank and investment accounts? If Bitcoin encryption is broken, all encryption is broken.
