Just like Quebec, Alberta is asserting its constitutional authority. No longer will the federal government get to pit cities against one another in our province with unreasonable conditions.

This isn't about cities competing with cities. This is about cities trying to cope with strangulation by the provincial govt. You offload responsibilities onto the municipalities, then tie their hands on dealing with them. #ableg #abpoli

“Just like Québec” How is Alberta culturally different than the rest of Canada? Oil and gas isn’t a culture it is an industry.

The people want change. Are you going to listen?

Good, im sick and tired of these double standards where quebec gets whatever it wants and alberta gets the middle finger.

You’re just screwing with $$$$ that we should be getting for our province!! Your private little war with the federal government is simply childish and costing every Albertan! And why….so you can get those funds and redirect to???????

You do nothing for Albertans, except make everyone's lives worse. All you do is start fights. You would harm babies to start a fight with the feds. Oh wait - you already have. You are a provincial, national, & international embarrassment. #DanielleSmithIsUnfitToLead

FACT: Québec ran to the table with matching funds and had no problem with whatever conditions were part of the deal. Premier Legault was all over the media saying: "We've got our share. Let's freaking do this!" If you want to be treated like Québec, start acting like Québec.

Quebec’s independence movement was fuelled by the historical reality that their province is indeed a “distinct society.” Alberta’s is fuelled by nothing more than greed, grievances and QAnon conspiracy theories.

Excellent.

“Unreasonable conditions” like requiring housing money to be spent on housing? Stop getting in the way of solutions. #DanielleSmithIsUnfitToLead
