Joe Rogan: “The liberals who want to turn Texas Blue, like, don’tttt. You’re going to ruin it. You’re going to ruin it for you, too.” “There’s a saying about Austin: ‘Keep Austin Weird and Surrounded.’” “Surrounded by red people. Like, it’s all Red states around you and it’s this pocket of Blue that’s in the center of this Red state. I think that’s good for everybody. I think that’s good, it’s a balance.” “The Austin balance is a great balance. It’s a liberal city surrounded by like hardcore Republicans with guns and tigers!” “It works! It makes for nice people.”

Cooper Flagg on the impact he wants to have in his career, on and off the court, in Dallas. "A lot. It means a lot to me for this to be my first city and God willing, however it goes, you know be the only city. It's the first city I've ever played basketball in and it means a lot to me. I want to be able to give back in a big way over time and it doesn't have to be all at once; but, slowly just give back to the community and show that it means a lot to me to be a part of that."

Carlos Alcaraz was asked if he feels a responsibility as the world #1 to be an ambassador for the good of tennis the way Federer, Nadal, & Djokovic did before him “As the world #1 and one of the biggest names in tennis, do you feel a responsibility to be an ambassador for the sport? To grow it in the way Federer, Nadal, & Djokovic did before you…” Carlos: “Not really. I don’t think about it, being a good ambassador for tennis. But obviously at the same time the way I play, I just try to entertain the people, trying to engage people to watch more tennis. A part of that is.. I’m not thinking that I have to be the best ambassador possible to tennis. It’s just stepping on the court, I’m doing what I love to do. Just playing tennis. That is the best way I can be a good ambassador. It’s about loving what you’re doing and enjoy every single second you step on the court. I think that’s it. That’s all that’s in my mind.” (via Australian Open Press)

Cheryl Reeve on the loss to Atlanta “I think it’s a good look at what playoffs are going to be. Freedom of movement is a thing on the first game of the year, it doesn’t become a thing in the playoffs. Physicality and reaching and grabbing, players cutting and chucking them and all that. Thats going to be the norm, whether they say that’s going to be the case, it’s going to be the case, it’s the playoffs. This was a good game for us to sort of go “alight, this is what it’s going to be”.

Drew Brees reveals that days before the Saints’ first game back in the Superdome after Katrina, Sean Payton turned off every light in the stadium and showed the team footage of what the city of New Orleans had endured, and then said it’s only special if they win “That was really the moment where it was sending a message to our fans and the world that New Orleans was going to come back stronger than ever. A lot of that team was new. We hadn’t stepped foot in the Superdome. Sean recognized that Monday night was going to be super emotional, so he was like, ‘Man, I’ve got to get the guys in the building so they can feel it a little bit before we just step foot in there Monday night.’” “So Saturday night, we go in there and practice. It’s crisp, it’s fast, and then he brings us up afterward and just kills the lights in the whole Dome. Pitch black.” “All of a sudden, up on the Jumbotron, he plays a piece of the Spike Lee documentary about Katrina. It was a recognition of what happened in this city, what this fan base had been through, what this building represented, and what we were about to embark on Monday night.” “Bro, not a dry eye in the house. Everybody’s crying. Then the lights come up, we’re all looking at each other, and he gets up there and says, ‘I don’t need to tell you what this game on Monday night means to these people and how special it’s going to be, but it’s only special if you win.’” “And that was it. That’s all you need. It wasn’t a feeling of pressure, it was like, man, we’ve got a responsibility. We were brought here for this. This is what we can do. This is our contribution. Let’s go freaking win for these people.” “To me, that’s a sign of a great head coach. He identified what needed to be said in the moment and touched every guy. One of his great talents is being able to block out all that noise and narrow it down to, ‘Man, this is all I want you thinking about.’”

Joe Rogan issues a HEARTFELT apology to Theo Von over his recent comments: “I apologized to Theo. He knows I love him and he said that and we laughed and we joked around about it and I apologized for the way I talked about this. But I felt like I needed to explain to other people too, to get what was going on in my mind out and it certainly wasn’t like covering for Israel and it wasn’t trying to paint him out like he’s damaged or treat him like a child.” “I just want him to be okay. And when you’re dealing with someone, or when you have had experience dealing with someone where it winds up going very badly, and then you’re just left with this feeling, like, what could I have done? You know, I didn’t do a good job of it, especially the Marcus King thing. That’s terrible what I did. I didn’t mean to.” “I was just trying to—you don’t think sometimes when you are in the middle of a podcast. You’re having a conversation, you don’t think about the impact that it’s gonna have. That’s one of the reasons why, you know, podcasts are so weird because like you’re in the middle of trying to be entertaining, but you’re also just having a conversation and I f*cked up because I felt so badly about it. It was like there’s got to be a way to address this where I just express myself and so that’s why we’ve never done this before.” “We’ve never done this kind of a thing after a podcast, but it was very important to me. He’s an awesome person, a great friend, and one of the most interesting and funny people I’ve ever met in my life. And I just felt terrible about it. And I told them I would never bring it up publicly again, but I think it is important to let people know that aspect of it.” “So I’m gonna call him and clear this with him and make sure he’s cool with me saying this, but I’m pretty sure he is gonna be. And that’s it… I’m a human and I’m flawed like all of us and I f*ck up and it’s probably not the last time. It’s definitely not. I’m going to f*ck up again. But my intention is never to hurt anybody, ever. And that’s why I mean I very rarely if ever even get upset at anyone other than like corrupt politicians. But I do my best to just try to be a good person, spread positivity.”

“I felt like I lost everything… I felt like I was on track to be Rookie of the Year — a legendary first year in the UFC. Madison Square Garden, three knockouts, and then it all just slipped through my fingers. It was such a bad loss because I knew the narrative was going to be that I lost to an underdog or a nobody. He came in and he out-fought me. I felt absolutely devastated, and I knew how rough the times ahead were going to be.” Malcolm Wellmaker opens up about suffering his first UFC loss at UFC 322.

Jaidyn….. the fact that you’re speaking on it shows it bothers you. Like I said before, I wish I would be a nigga first bm, and I’m constantly speaking on, and to the next bm about annnnnyyyyy tf thing. And before yall say, “she’s being asked”, she could LITERALLY ignore the shit, be CHOOSES to speak on it. Theres absolutely no reason why Jaidyn really needed to be speaking on what Blueface and Chrisean got going on, all she need to be worried about is making sure Blue don’t take her kids around the hoe. Thats it thats all. Why you speaking on them doing a concert together though? And while I’m here, why is Sam big, brolic ass always hanging around like a lapdog? It doesn’t even give friend, it gives “I’m actually in love with Jaidyn, and I just love being here”. I’m starting to think it’s her that be running this deranged ass Jaidyn fan page.

Perino: I don't like the idea of a toll. That's not good. We can't do that all around the world. But it does have to be open. I think they are going to say 12 ships get to go through tomorrow. It is usually 100 a day. For Americans and people around the world looking for relief on energy prices, it's not going to come immediately.

Sharing a fan-submitted video that hit me right in the feels. This is what it means to be City: “My mother once said to me, “one day your time will come.” And I used to go to bed and cry myself to sleep thinking she knows nothing. Guess what? She was right. Because it’s bloody happened. Is it due to money? Yeah, everybody knows that. But if the richest Arabs in the world are going to come up to you and ask if you want a million pounds, you’re going to say.. “Go on then.. I love it” End of day.. when we had won the league the first time, I will die a happy man. I didn’t even think we’d win the league cup, let alone the league. And you know what? I’m proud to be a City fan.”

Ansem explains why Zcash is still undervalued “It’s super cheap compared to a lot of the other coins, it has a great narrative behind it, it already has momentum and it’s by far the best performer in Crypto the past year” “I honestly think it’s gonna consolidate here around $450-$500 and then I think it’s gonna keep going up… it’s only around $9B market cap right now” “Zcash was like $30 or $40 last year before a lot of core technological upgrades got pushed through”

Chelsea Green On her Money in the Bank fall: “Seriously, that ladder is high, it’s very high, because I think it was a 20-foot ladder — dear life as I’m going up it trying to look all like I’m a badass, and I’m like, Dear God, please let this be over. I want to go home. I need a glass of wine. But it was all worth it. I knew what that moment was going to be. I died on that hill getting that moment because the boys tried to take it away from me.” “The boys tried to have that exact same moment. So we bargained. We gave Chad Gable a spot, and I took my spot. Also, and this might not be that popular of a thing to say, but also, IYO was going to be on the ladder with me. I said no. I came up with the spot. I wanted the spot, and I didn’t think going through it a second time with somebody else was going to be as impactful....So I wanted the moment, and I fought for it to be just me, and I fought for it to be the very, very, very last spot before Tiffany won.” (Chris Van Vliet)

At around 8 this morning I was only at about 166 degrees when it decided it was going to rain so I hurried up and took it inside and finished it in the oven. I pulled it at about 200 degrees and I knew I was going to rest it in the cooler so I figured I would have 5 degrees to spare. A four hour rest in the cooler turned into a 6 hour rest because I fell asleep and overslept. The bark wasn’t as crispy as I like it to be but the meat is tender and juicy, it cuts easy and falls apart in your hand. Over all it turned out good. I think I’m going to save it for special occasions or when I have a lot of time on my hands.

Marc Andreessen says AI is hyper democratizing. “Is the future of the world going to be one or a small number of companies, or for that matter, governments or super AIs that kind of own and control everything?” “Or is this a technology that's going to diffuse out and be in everybody's hands?” “This is the time in which AI is actually hyper democratizing. It has spread to more individuals, both in the country and around the world in the shortest period of time of any new technology I think in history.” “The best AIs in the world are in the consumer products.” “This technology is going to be in everybody's hands. And everybody is going to be able to use it to optimize the things that they do, have it be a thought partner, assistant for building companies.” Marc Andreessen 🇺🇸
