Many people feel a certain way about this video being shared, and the general consensus is to refer back to Jackie O when she refused to change her bloody shirt. And yes, there is that, but also, remember the last memory any of us had of Charlie before this was his violent, very public death. In reality, she gave us the greatest gift of closure, seeing him laying in peace. It helps replace that video of his death with this video of his peace and love in our own heads. This will be our last memory of him, and it's amazing she was willing to share it with us. ❤️

We look on life differently; we see way beyond this mortal life. Our trust is in our Heavenly Father and in His Son. Our challenge is to believe in Him and trust in Him, and to know that our choices in this life will follow us beyond the veil. I shared this message while in New Zealand on a recent assignment. What Jesus said to His disciples anciently still applies to us today: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

The hardest of decisions has been made. Tomorrow afternoon, our vet, who has been with us every step of this journey, will come to our home and help Ralph cross. Despite eating copious amounts of food, he lost 500kg in 3 weeks, down from 3kg to 2.5kg. His temperature is too low as he is too weak to regulate his body and he is showing signs of muscle weakness. Although no indicator for pain (we checked, twice), he is literally withering away and prolonging this will be completely and utterly for us, not for him and you all know by now, we would never, ever do that to our kids. He is home, on top of our warm bed and he will be so spoiled the next 24 hours. He will be hugged so much and will be told we love him until the moment he slips away in our arms Simon and I are devastated this is happening a 3rd time this year and this has been my fear for many, many years. Thank you all for being there for us and keep Ralph in your thoughts tomorrow as he starts his journey over the rainbow bridge.

He stressed that these calls are crucial—his daughters live outside Bahrain, and his ill mother is unable to visit him. He warned the administration that if this change is enforced, he will be forced to take action. He was told that the matter will be discussed with the prison director, and a final decision is today. My father should not be imprisoned in the first place, and depriving him of his most meaningful way to communicate with us will profoundly affect our family. I will stand by him and support him in any decision he makes - however I hope enough pressure can be raised to avoid putting him at risk.
