Typically overhyped "rivalry". Very boring and obvious according to surface

I watched majority of Fedal matches. Quality was higher between Djokovic-Nadal. Fed’s backhand is a major weakness that gets exploited time and time again which makes this match-up predictable after a while

I think the biggest thing was that this level of tennis did not exist beforehand and it came in spades.

100% I didn’t see much of this but just watching you can tell the quality and tennis was higher than when they played against anyone else

It was so short lived….

The shot-making was insane. Both had a "fun-to-watch" playing style that made every match amazing for viewers. So many points where someone pulled a rabbit out of a hat. Novak's style suffocates his opponents so not the same viewing experience but arguably a higher level of play.

Djokovic-Nadal rivalry . 2012 AO, standout The sublime 🎾, the battles, gladiators on the court, the logistics, IQ. I could go on. Kids ,get hold of the reruns, you won't be disappointed.

Nadal fans enjoyed this because of a long period of time it was one sided till RF learnt to only play Nadal on HC and he gathered some wins. Same way we Novak fans love both because Novak kept making them 1 sided especially during the big 1 era post 2011.

That was no rivalry at all, since Rafa was demolishing Roger. Than Nole showed up, and dismissed them both against all odds. And he did it in style, despite dirty games from ITF, ATP, rotten western media and tournament organisers and limited fedals.

The quality was always ass. 80% of the matches were one sided so do not try to fool anyone. It was always about the drama and the story lines. Best rivalry was Fedole 100%.

Good thing I’m not a kid. Grateful to have seen it from start to finish. The true connoisseurs and lovers of the game will know but unfortunately they will not experience it live. That’s ok, they’ll have their own epic rivalry.
