Let’s be honest, 5785 was not a great year. It started with an Iranian ballistic missile attack and ended with international recognition of a Palestinian state, with countless Houthi ballistic missile attacks on the way, a twelve-day war with Iran, and still casualties and hostages in Gaza. Many Israelis are wishing each other not a “good year” but a “better year,” admitting that’s a low bar. But I want to wish you a GOOD YEAR (unless you’re one of my trolls). It won’t be good in every respect. But it will be in at least one area under your control, where you can make it the best ever. Let’s make 5786 a year to remember, for all the right reasons. 🎉

I can hit 200m, standing, with my offset holoson 507C redot on my AR-15. In no way, shape, or form is 200m an impressive shot to make with a scoped bolt action rifle. Doesn’t take “a skilled sniper”. (Second video for better understanding of where my offset red dot is on my rifle)

✨ Made a new mini feature on Photo AI: [ Grab from 3d model ] So the problem is we're at that stage in time (typical for AI) where image-to-3d models are not good enough but are fun to play with, but we know they'll be good enough in 1-2 years With [ Make 3d model ] you already can turn any Photo AI pic into a 3d model but it still looks hyper clunky and deformed, but it works! One cool idea I had to make that more useful and made now: Let people make a 3d model then change the view of the it with the 3d viewer, then press [ o ] and it grabs a frame of the 3d That image you can then [ Remix ] (img2img), and it becomes a real photo again and that in turn you can then turn into a video again with [ Make video ] So that essentially gives you a fully freeform camera position control to take photos with One thing I need to fix is the background/skybox, I kinda need to take the original photo and remove the person and just get the background for the 3d model viewer, in this case it should be white, but it's a start!

Nor does it appear to be like a cloud or fog of some sort surrounding the nucleus. It behaves like nothing you've seen before." Likewise, the cell is not a deterministic machine or factory. I think I can safely say that nobody understands the cell.

The fact that #SudikshaKonanki’s clothing was left behind strongly suggests in my opinion, she may have never made it out of the water at all. #JoshuaRiibe either doesn’t remember that she drowned, is embellishing details to make himself look like a hero, or has no involvement but refuses to admit she drowned by accident because it would reflect poorly on him. #MissingPerson #TrueCrime

I wrote my own CAD software whose intended user is an AI. I asked GPT 5.6 sol to make me a case for my camera. It only interrupted me once, which was to log in to a website to download a model of my camera as reference. Not perfect but.. pretty crazy :)

Flappy Bird w/ DeepSeek V4 Pro vs GLM 5.2 vs Fable 5 I ran a small experiment: same game, same prompt, three different models. Test setup was simple: /𝚍𝚎𝚜𝚒𝚐𝚗 in Command Code. The thing I cared about was not UI. UI is now relatively easy for models to imitate. I cared more about UX: whether the model understands the interaction, the flow, the hierarchy, the little product decisions that make something feel usable. 𝙲𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚜: 𝙳𝚎𝚎𝚙𝚂𝚎𝚎𝚔 𝚟𝟺 𝙿𝚛𝚘: $𝟶.𝟶𝟶𝟶𝟾 𝙶𝙻𝙼 𝟻.𝟸: $𝟶.𝟶𝟺𝟾 𝙵𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝟻: $𝟶.𝟺𝟸 The surprising result was that Fable 5 did not produce a meaningfully better UX. It was good, but not good enough to justify the pricing delta for this kind of design task. Open-source models are getting very interesting here. They are much cheaper, competitive on UI, and increasingly good enough on UX. The gap is closing fast.

✨ I can now generate 3d assets for my drone sim at directly from Cursor (sponsor of #vibejam) I need buildings that you'd see in a war torn city, like warehouses in ruins, broken down abandoned houses, bombed out bridges etc. Nano Banana Pro or 2 can generate them really well and then you can put them in an image-to-3d model and you get a GLB or FBX That one you can then import into your Three.js game, the models might be big though, in my case like 16MB, so I ask it to compress it and make it more low poly so it loads fast ThreeJS then loads the individual GLBs on page load and puts them in my drone sim somewhere randomly, I think I should remove some of the grass and match the sandy color of the ruins though to make it fit in more

Reports coming out of Bahrain suggest that a U.S. Patriot interceptor, not an Iranian drone, may have been involved in a blast over a residential area on March 9th, causing civilian casualties. Events like this are rare, but not unusual. SAMs are not designed to hit ground targets. When something goes wrong, they can unfortunately come down unpredictably. Now here’s where it gets interesting. Did you know that, in the past, one of Bahrain’s neighbours looked at a SAM… and tried to repurpose it to hit ground targets? Not an accident. A deliberate attempt to make it work. 1/2

If you typically stream with a 3D model, I highly recommend that you pose your model when you’re not doing full body mocap instead of letting it stay in the stiff generic pose! It makes a huge difference in how your energy is conveyed (ᗒ⩊ᗕ)⸝ި ʕᦏ⌎ I’m only saying this because I noticed this a lot with my own 3D kids, but here’s a comparison showcase: ← default pose & default pendulum physics in Warudo → custom poses & slightly adjusted pendulum physics If you find it hard to pose within Warudo by using bone offsets or none of the existing poses in Warudo vibe with you, you can make your own like me! I made my custom poses in “VRM Posing Desktop” (this is the BEST vrm posing app I’ve ever used in the past 3 years) and exported them as Unity anims then dropped them into Warudo’s animation folder! You can then make a simple blueprint in Warudo to toggle between poses and make your model look more alive! It should fit especially well for just chatting streams 🙂‍↕️✨

Our open-source RAG app, Verba, can now run Ollama models locally to embed documents into Weaviate and generate answers without your data leaving your device! I tested it with Llama3, and it works great + super quickly on my M2; In this recording, I'm doing a little Verba-ception, asking Verba what Verba is 🤤 You can also use open-source models like Mistral, Claude, or your own custom LLMs. This will make doing RAG with sensitive data possible since you won't depend on APIs anymore. Looking forward to everyone trying it out 🤗 Update's coming next week!

70 in a 55? ✅ Roll a stop sign? ❌ FSD 14.1.2 Mad Max seems to be for heavy, aggressive traffic so you can fit in better. On open roads, it's going to speed like crazy, so it doesn't make sense to use there. And it's optional, so if you don't like it of course you never have to turn it on. Part of me gets it, but part of me wonders why Tesla would even bring this possible scrutiny on FSD when they already got a slap for rolling a stop sign, which like 99% of drivers do, and I feel is safer to do in many situations anyway.

Some folks are saying Deep Seek censors certain topics (like Tiannamen Square) because it's a Chinese app. This is not true. Deep Seek is an open source LLM. You can download it, or host it outside China, and use it however you want. If you use its chat interface that's based in China, it will have to comply with the Chinese regulations. But outside China, you can do pretty much anything. For our app Research Kick, we are hosting it in the US. You can see, it answers my question about Tiannamen Square.
