Kinda remarkable how the show post-2017 would just absolutely never do this again because it makes the main characters too complicated

Like I just cannot imagine a situation where Yaz/Ruby/Belinda screams at the doctor out of absolute rage and forces them to change history. It just couldn’t happen with the way the characters are written nowadays

Just more of this. That’s all we want. Complex characters with varying motivations and provenances

that's interesting, but what do you think of this?

Oh and here’s the real kicker. This scene is reminiscent of a scene in the lost 1st doctor story, the massacre. Where the doctor chose to leave a young Huguenot woman in Paris right before the st Bartholomew day massacre, and Steven was so pissed he ditched.

This is one of my favourite Doctor Who scenes of all time. Just heartbreaking stuff, given what Steven had been through. Season 3 is so underrated

it’s just so fucking frustrating because after 4 years of characters i found flat in the chibnall era, i was excited for the return of the writer i thought wrote characters better than anyone. but he can’t do it either. or chooses not to

We've strayed very far from The Waters of Mars.

As others have said, Belinda had the set up for this. Myself and so many others were so excited for a dynamic where the companion is openly critical of the behaviours that have gone uncriticised since Capaldi. So... why DID Russell set that up only to immediately abandon it?

My mom looks and acts exactly like Catherine Tate and when I was in high school watching the Donna Noble episodes I would just go downstairs and hug her and she'd be like "Uh okay?" and then I'd start crying

Crazy this was just episode 2. Series 4 was cooking with gas
When did we lose the ability to accept life is messy and even heros arent perfect
