Here’s Rivers’ full confession from tonight’s LUX TOUR Confessional with ROSALÍA: “When I was in high school, there was a boy I really liked. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. Then, one day, he told me he liked me and felt the same way. I was so excited, so hopeful. His birthday was coming up, and there was going to be Pal Norte, a festival here. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. When his birthday finally came, I had prepared a surprise for him, organized everything, and planned a special moment. When I gave him the gift, he saw what it was and got kind of weird. Then he told me, ‘Oh, it’s just that I have a family commitment,’ or whatever. Something like that. But he had been saying for months that he wanted to go, so it didn’t make any sense. I said, ‘Okay, fine, nothing happened.’ Since I had the extra tickets, I told a friend, ‘This is your opportunity, come with me.’ She was going to the festival too, so we went together. We were about to leave when, guess who I ran into at the festival? Him. With someone else, all cuddled up, and I think they were holding hands. And the worst part? Do you know who it was? A classmate. After that, I didn’t want anything to do with ‘Nati’ and I hated everyone for a long time. I spent several years not trusting anyone and not wanting to meet people in that way. But it was an experience, and eventually I realized it didn’t have to be that way.”

Inspired talking about Skewmond and" the best jungler in the west" debate Q: Everyone was talking a lot of Skewmond, and I would like to know about: do you believe like the series put an end to any debate about the best jungler in the West? Inspired: To me, there was never a debate. I knew that I’m always the best, but I think Skewmond is a good player. I wouldn’t say that he had any phenomenal series, though, this tournament. I think he, against T1, he still made a lot of mistakes. When he was stronger, he didn’t really try to fight enemies, and or sometimes just over committed a bit, and I think G2 won against T1 just by waiting for T1 to make mistakes. I think today, I think Skewmond played well in the team fights. I think every time he was on my screen and we’re like skirmishing and team fighting, I think he did a good job. But I think just like team wise, and like how they all played together as a team and use their jungler was wrong. And it’s hard to say, as I always said, that don’t really know who’s there like which jungler is good because you don’t really know what was his idea beyond the game plan, what his teammates wanted to do. But it just seems like they were not connected well enough, and on top of that, as I said, I think the drafts were not that great. So yeah, I think he’s a good player, but I think they need to work more on team synergy in order to actually pressure when they’re strong if they want to be like the best in the world, because I think they definitely can, but need to work a bit more. Debbie Harry on why she dyed her Blonde hair to auburn-brown colour for "Videodrome" (1983) & David Cronenberg's reaction to it: "Interviewer: You’d done a few movies at this point, but 'Videodrome' was very much your breakthrough movie moment. Had you been actively looking to start acting? Harry: Yes, I had. I had gone on a lot of meetings with casting directors, and I had read for things. I was dragging myself around Hollywood, going to studios and offices and meeting as many people as I could. I did have different personal agents at the time, but Cronenberg contacted me about this. I guess he had a visual idea, so that suited me fine. The only thing that happened was, for some bizarre thinking process, I thought that I should not have blonde hair, that I shouldn’t be Blondie in this picture. So I went to a more natural auburn-brown color, and I arrived in Canada and he said, “Well, your hair is not blonde,” because he had envisioned this character having blonde hair. Interviewer: I was going to ask whether it was your idea to dye your hair. I’d assumed it was coming more from Cronenberg saying, “I want a separation between your music persona and the character you’re playing here.” Harry: It was really just the opposite. I think he was really shocked and disappointed. I thought it was good for the character, and it helped me to be that character. I think had I faced every day with the same blonde hair it would have been a little bit different for me. Interviewer: Do you think Nicki would be different with blonde hair than she was with auburn hair? Harry: No, I don’t think so. For me, it really was just something to help me do the performance. I had been so firmly entrenched in the Blondie persona. In a way, I’d created the character of Blondie, so this was another person. It worked out in the long run, but there were a few sticky moments when I got there. But he didn’t ask you to dye it back. No, we talked about it and I just said exactly what I’m saying to you, that I wanted to separate it. He respected that, which I think is wonderful." ("Debbie Harry Answers Every Question We Have About Videodrome", Matthew Jacobs, Vulture, 2023) P.S: Happy 81st birthday, Debbie Harry!

This was my favorite part of #Flex1045xJossGawinConcert 🎙: What is something you've managed to overcome within yourself? 🐻: The first big thing that comes to mind was before the fancon. 🎙: Last year's fancon? 🐻: Yes. I remember talking to Gawin about how I still wasn't confident that I could do it. I already knew that no matter what, I was going to have to get on that stage. But at that time, I felt like I didn't really belong there. Maybe because I came from an acting background. 🐻: I also had a lot of worries. A lot of my friends are artists, like Timethai and P'Pae, who are musicians. They've spent years building up their experience. Even Gawin himself has been playing music since he was a teenager, since he was a kid. 🐻: But for me, I had only recently started trying and learning. A lot of the time, it didn't feel natural. It wasn't something I could just do right away. I had to practice, practice, and practice again and agian. When I first started taking lessons, there were still times when I'd sing off key or dance out of rhythm. So I felt like everything was moving so slowly. I was starting late, after all. 🐻: But as I kept practicing more and more, I gradually became more confident. Still, there was always a small part of me that wondered, because I'd never performed on a big stage before. I didn't know what it would be like. Would I be able to handle the nerves? What if I made a mistake? What would happen then? 🐻: It took time. In the end, my friends and the people close to me helped me realize that it was all just part of the experience. Whatever is going to happen will happen. I feel lucky to have people around me who made me feel comfortable enough to just go for it. 🐻: And we practiced so much that, for some songs, it became second nature to me. That's when I started thinking, Okay, maybe I started later than other people, but if I put in enough practice and give myself enough time, I can do it. 🐻: Then when the day finally came and I actually did it, I really could do it. Even though there were mistakes and it wasn't perfect, I still felt like, Wow, I actually did a good job. And when I got feedback from my friends, the fans, and the seniors who told me they were very surprised that I was able to do this well, I thought, Okay... yeah, it's difficult. But it's not impossible. 🎙: Everything is possible. Anything is possible. Let's give him a round of applause. 👏🏻

Cody Rhodes was asked about John Cena saying how the match that you guys did at SummerSlam had to be different, had to deliver, because the WrestleMania match he felt didn’t. How did you put that match together at SummerSlam? “Well, I never was one to get mad or get in my feelings over WrestleMania 41 because it was part of a larger story. That is a hard sell, though, for a WrestleMania, especially when the year before you had the completion of over several decades of a journey, and at a 10-year Mania, you’re involving luminaries and legends. It’s a feeling that’s good, a good feeling, as Shawn Michaels will say, the good stuff. So when you go into 41 and you’re doing 1/4 of your story, and you know your story goes all the way to SummerSlam, I never was not committed, and I never doubted John. I hope he knows that, because I know he talks about this match, so I feel comfortable talking about it, but I never doubted, hey, well, this is what we’re doing now, and this is what we’re going to do, then this is what we’re going to do when we get to SummerSlam. You asked, though, how we put it together. I have a really great photo of how we put it together in the most old-school fashion ever. He wanted to have a cigar where he was staying in New York, and this was the night before. I figured I like cigars, it is one of my favorite things, maybe the most Cuban thing about me. I went there, and I realized after dinner and stuff, maybe an hour in, that we were talking about tomorrow. But we were just talking about it differently than you talk about it at the ringside area. We were talking about it, then we would talk about something else, and then we’d slip back into it, and it was the most I think I’ve ever focused in my mind. Because once we go past something, I don’t want to forget it. Remember that idea, I don’t want to forget it. So I ended up going to my hotel that night, and I had it all. I had everything, and I kept making sure. I think I was telling Brandi, and I was making sure I had it. I had what we had talked about. Because with an old school guy like him, you may actually go out there the next night without seeing each other, which is wild in 2025-26. But with John, that was a possibility. He could have just yelled his whole version of it, or I could have yelled my whole version. But that was a really special moment, because I got a lot of pictures from it, and I didn’t share any except maybe one of us signing at the tables. But I got to be with my friend at the end, and I got to not just be with my friend, but I got to have the responsibility that I think anyone in the business would want. I got the responsibility of being booed in Vegas. I got that responsibility of being the one who can survive. Hey, yeah, you may not be the hot thing right now, but if you’re going to be QB 1, you have to be able to survive, and I got to be able to be in there with the guy who survived more encounters than anybody in our business with split crowds, for him crowds and hostile crowds.” (Chris Van Vliet)
