Today, the Krishna River bed near the Srisailam Dam on the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana border lies almost completely dry. A view of the Mutha river from the SM Joshi bridge in Erandvane. Every year, on a few days in July/August we get such a view, when the discharge from the Khadakwasla dam goes beyond 20,000 cusecs. It is expected to get to 45,000 cusecs later this afternoon, based on the update by the authorities. They have issued an alert for the riverside. (Photo via Sarika Phatak) #Pune
