Kumaonis. Imagine coming from a community where your elders know how to take guard of honour seriously and you have so many fauzi friends & even civilians who can welcome your wife like this into your house. Every stup!d scheme like Agniveer is a disrespect to such people who... show more

He's a retired navy guy, not from the Kumaon regiment. These are hired people. It's not a community thing. Kumaonis are simple people. There's no traditional welcome like this.

Yeah. They are civilians. He is just welcoming his wife. Nothing else.

Bhai, what I meant was, it was a staged event. "Elders know how to take guard of honour/ fauzi friends & civilians who can welcome like this" part is untrue. The Kumaon regiment, of course, has no connection to this video. This drama has done nothing, but made him a laughing stock. He's from a neighborhood town. I am a Kumaoni. We don't do such outlandish stuff!

It is good actually, Why should my kumaonis die for this thankless, directionless nation? A nation is simply wanting my land,my resources ,my women, but not my man. A nation which is shamelessly displacing my people from my hills,Why should my men die for this bastard nation? .

Kya bole ja raha hai bhai. Relax.

Without OROP, Agniveer would not have seen the light of the day.

Agniveer Scheme is an insult to such traditions...we no more have Sikh,Gurkha,Jaat and Rajput Regiments anyhwere..only desperate unemployed youth from some states wanting to find a job of 3.5 years on 35k per month risking their lives for meagre few thousand rupees

Agniveer will lead to disastrous results for Indian army in the long run, army was a stable choice of carrier for millions in india not anymore, martial race is a reality cope with it Indian politicans

Lieutenant Purushark Suyal .. banda sahi hai , mature aur confident hai

I come from a Kumaoni military background—three generations in the Indian Army,so I appreciate your point about military heritage and regiment culture. That said, I don't see it reflected in this video. What's happening here looks more like personal flexing and their own way of having fun, rather than anything connected to military values.

What a nice welcome!🤗 No one can beat armed forces in courtesy, smartly dressed & respect.

That's not an Army style of saluting Most probably they are from the Navy

They are civilians and his friends. They have trained for different purposes though. Like NCC and some Philippines volunteers.

I know this person. He has retired from Navy as an officer.

Chutiapa

This is so wholesome

Dear brother, Few clarifications: 1. They are Neither Agniveers nor serving Army personnel 2. No military resource or uniform utilised....they are my friends Privately trained & funded by me.. 3. Ceremonial drill inspired by Philippine Navy Saber Arch with a Rajputana touch.

Keeping your army young is a bullshit ? Then maybe u r one !

Chutiyapa is the right word.

couldn't agree more about the agniveer.

armed forces don't train for marriages.agniveer can be criticised with Linking army training to marriages also

Don’t behave as if soldiers are not part of society and have to live separately from it.

well I don't see a reason. why should armymen bow down for a lady . every lady should be respected.but army too has its own honor .Bhai Fauj ki izzat hai .Vo ijjat unhone khoon de ke kamai hai ye shadi byah me hawa hawai karke nahi

They are not from Army. Only groom is ex servicemen. And no, they are not bowing down.

they though are pretending to be army men

Did he just salute his wife

Dont blame agniveer blame OROP.

Agniveer is s stupid scheme Read the Room buddy

nepotism is branded as 'legacy' in recruitment. 4-5 generations of same family get recruited while a poor kid gets rehected for 'sweaty palms'

What a stupid way to show money and power.

Kumaoni kya hai isme ?

Cringe.

😂😂😂 wtf?

Anything that prioritizes a ‘community’, a ‘legacy’ or a ‘tradition’ is clinging on to the shit and can go suck a lemon. Army is a national institution and not the Baap ki Jagir of a community, and anyone off the street can and should be able to serve in Army if they so wish.

All BS at the tax payers money.

But do we need these many people in army in future. With all the drone tech available should we not hire less people in risky jobs like this. Agniveer is actually solving this problem very efficiently.

We do need these many people in Army. Look at the massive size of borders and at least 2 fronts always open for us. One software or some new tech can jam all those drones.

We need better technology and temporary soldiers until we become more advanced technologically. I hope we will get there in another 10–15 years. What will we do with soldiers who are no longer required? Their discipline and training can be used elsewhere.

You missed the whole point and continued to blabber basics. Hmmm

Counter with better point or don't no compulsion on replying .

Legacy of Recruitment.. 😆 Communities that supported British During 1857 were awarded with guaranteed recruitment and Infantry Regiments named after these communities. Today not only troops but most officers are also coming from these communities .. don't glorify treachery.

Stop this nonsense
