Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. He became a big asset on special teams, and last year was the first time that we really believed he was going to step in there, really contribute at linebacker at a high level. It was actually kind of a sad story, but it was about 20 minutes before he tours ACL, was the first time that I told him he'd be starting that week. It was his first start in his career, and he had earned it. We were going to move him ahead of Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles at the time. What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We said, ‘Okay, we got it.’ That’s what’s in the show because it’s really tugging on his face the maximum it could be done, and then we just extended that. vernon about trainee minghao 🐻‍❄ when hyung first came in as a trainee, he was quite the rebellious type, visually. he had a shaved head and did breakdancing, that's why i found him quite cool back then 🎱 when i first came to korea, i was the closest with vernon 🐻‍❄ i really liked him back then as a trainee because when i was younger, i thought that breakdancing was very cool and i wanted to do it too but my parents didn't let me. then a guy came in actually knowing how to do it, with his head shaved, and it was just my style. since he came from china, we often went to konkuk univ station to eat some food from his hometown. that's when he introduced mala to me and that was even before mala craze took off. it was so unique and i thought that maybe there's a reason why people don't eat mala in korea but it just suddenly took off!

I sometimes like suppose there was an important scene that we were shooting emotionally very important for #BattleOfGalwan and he was there even though it was he wasn’t in the shot. He was there at 10:30 in the morning not just one day I think there was three days in a row that he was there that early. I have lot respect for that man for having so much devotion for his work.

Kevin Durant says he wears No. 35 to honor his late childhood coach “Charles Craig. That was my first coach when I was about eight years old. I started playing at this rec center down the street from my house. He took a liking to me because of my size and how quick I was to get up the court at my size. So he just started working with me from like 8 to 12 he was my coach” “The neighborhood got into some stuff one night. It escalated, and he got murdered at a barber shop probably when I was a junior in high school, just about to make my decision to go to college and make that next step. It was devastating. It was shocking for that to happen” “Periodically I think about it. I wish he could see all the stuff that I've done so far, but I always live with that number on me. That's why I wear that number, because he died at that age. So I try to keep something around that symbolizes what he meant to me” “It was a tough time, not just for me, because he coached a lot of my friends that went on to play outside of high school, and they wear the number too. It's kind of a connection that we all have coming from that rec center that he coached at. I just try to carry his name as much as I could. That's why I wear that number”

Unfortunately, there was a time when Taylor had to take some time off because of a health issue. They kind of pushed pause on us, and I think that not allowing us to have that little development where we could have carried things on a little bit on our own, he took the time off, we could have still carried on and done stuff creatively without him, and then could have had a big moment when he came back. I think that was maybe the beginning, because I guess in their eyes, there the group was Taylor, which I do to an extent understand, but I think we just weren’t given the chance to develop ourselves so we can also become more of a presence in the group.” (Chris Van Vliet)

Inspired talking about Skewmond and" the best jungler in the west" debate Q: Everyone was talking a lot of Skewmond, and I would like to know about: do you believe like the series put an end to any debate about the best jungler in the West? Inspired: To me, there was never a debate. I knew that I’m always the best, but I think Skewmond is a good player. I wouldn’t say that he had any phenomenal series, though, this tournament. I think he, against T1, he still made a lot of mistakes. When he was stronger, he didn’t really try to fight enemies, and or sometimes just over committed a bit, and I think G2 won against T1 just by waiting for T1 to make mistakes. I think today, I think Skewmond played well in the team fights. I think every time he was on my screen and we’re like skirmishing and team fighting, I think he did a good job. But I think just like team wise, and like how they all played together as a team and use their jungler was wrong. And it’s hard to say, as I always said, that don’t really know who’s there like which jungler is good because you don’t really know what was his idea beyond the game plan, what his teammates wanted to do. But it just seems like they were not connected well enough, and on top of that, as I said, I think the drafts were not that great. So yeah, I think he’s a good player, but I think they need to work more on team synergy in order to actually pressure when they’re strong if they want to be like the best in the world, because I think they definitely can, but need to work a bit more.
