NordSpace has successfully completed an intense month long campaign to qualify and test the limits of our Hadfield Mk III liquid rocket engine - metal 3D printed, regen cooled, and Earth-shakingly powerful. Next up is our first flight, scheduled for this summer, which will make Canadian history as the nation’s first commercial launch from a commercial spaceport 🇨🇦 Assured access to space will completely reshape Canada’s sovereignty, security, and economy. NordSpace is pleased to announce a groundbreaking Canada-Germany R&D collaboration and funding towards medium-lift rocket engine development with Fraunhofer ILT, receiving advisory services and up to $335,000 from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). This collaboration will support a research and development project that will advance our large format multi-material additive manufacturing capabilities for medium-lift rocket engines. This collaboration between NordSpace, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology, and SWMS (Systemtechnik Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH) builds upon the recent launch of our Advanced Manufacturing for Aerospace Lab (AMA Lab), and marks an important step toward our ongoing efforts to advance orbital launch vehicles that are fully scalable from light to medium-lift payload capacities. NordSpace's Tundra and Tundra+ light lift vehicles, capable of 500 kg and 1,100 kg to LEO respectively, are being designed specifically to scale to the medium-lift Titan vehicle (5,000 kg+ to LEO) by the early 2030s. The pressure-fed Hadfield-10 series has been the backbone of NordSpace's propulsion program since our earliest days. It's the engine that proved we could design, manufacture, test and fly liquid rocket engines from scratch, entirely in-house, at the pace necessary to reach orbit. It powered our first successful hot-fire tests, survived our most demanding qualification campaigns, and gave our team the hard-won knowledge that no textbook or simulation could provide. It also powers our Taiga sub-orbital vehicle, which is taking flight in a few weeks. Every experimental lesson learned in its development from combustion stability, regenerative cooling, additive manufacturing, and test operations lives on in what comes next. That knowledge now flows directly into our turbopump fed Hadfield-100 engine, the most powerful rocket engine in Canadian history. Designed to power our orbital Tundra rocket to deliver 500+ kg to LEO and scaling further to 1,100 kg LEO in the Tundra+ configuration. NordSpace is proud to announce another major orbital launch program milestone. Alongside our ongoing orbital hardware development, we have successfully completed the high-fidelity trajectory and flight dynamics model for our Tundra orbital rocket after 2 years of intense design effort, thousands of simulations, and hundreds of physical tests. This high-fidelity model is far more than a simulation milestone or simply selecting the vehicle's capabilities. It is the cornerstone of the entire vehicle design loop, the foundation required for regulatory commercial flight approval, and the only way to confidently predict and guarantee the performance required to achieve orbit. It integrates detailed aerodynamics, structural loads, propulsion constraints, flight mechanics, guidance, navigation, and control, and much more into a single unified framework that will guide every major design decision moving forward. Crossing this milestone gives us the ability to continue to rapidly advance the engineering efforts behind our orbital launch architecture from engines and tanks, to GNC and GSE. Uniquely, we're focused on a lot more than just a light-lift vehicle. NordSpace is proud to announce another major orbital launch program milestone. Alongside our ongoing orbital hardware development, we have successfully completed the high-fidelity trajectory and flight dynamics model for our Tundra orbital rocket after 2 years of intense design effort, thousands of simulations, and hundreds of physical tests. This high-fidelity model is far more than a simulation milestone or simply selecting the vehicle's capabilities. It is the cornerstone of the entire vehicle design loop, the foundation required for regulatory commercial flight approval, and the only way to confidently predict and guarantee the performance required to achieve orbit. It integrates detailed aerodynamics, structural loads, propulsion constraints, flight mechanics, guidance, navigation, and control, and much more into a single unified framework that will guide every major design decision moving forward. Crossing this milestone gives us the ability to continue to rapidly advance the engineering efforts behind our orbital launch architecture from engines and tanks, to GNC and GSE. Uniquely, we're focused on a lot more than just a light-lift vehicle. Our entire architecture is based upon selecting key technologies and design pathways that result in the most efficient progression from Tundra (500 kg to LEO, 350 kg to SSO) to Titan, our reusable medium lift vehicle (5,000 kg to LEO, 3,500 kg to SSO). Our architecture even allows for the option to extend Tundra without major modifications to a Tundra+ variant, allowing for 1,100 kg to LEO and 850 kg to SSO. In 2025, we logged more than 79,000 nautical miles and over 15,000 hours of total operations with Corsair, our 24-ft ASV. Much of this was done on our own dime, operating 6 days a week at our test sites on the West Coast, East Coast, Gulf Coast, and beyond, allowing us to validate and advance our autonomy across diverse maritime environments, mission profiles, and real-world operating conditions. Not every day is perfect by design. We stress test our systems, push our vessels to their limits, and operate in challenging scenarios because that is how gaps are identified and performance improves. Every mile logged and every hour underway informs the next software update, the next design change, and the next operational improvement. If you aren’t finding issues quickly and fixing them expeditiously, you aren’t improving. This is how we advance maritime autonomy, fast. Space Perspective has successfully completed a historic flight demonstration of Spaceship Neptune-Excelsior, the fully-operational test vehicle that will take Explorers to space. Around sunrise on Sunday, it launched from the deck of Marine Spaceport (MS) Voyager, propelled by our SpaceBalloon™ to ~100,000 feet (~30 km). Over the course of several hours, our engineering teams monitored and controlled the capsule, eventually bringing it down through a controlled descent and splashdown. This flight tested a multitude of systems, including launch & ascent through our patented launch system aboard MS Voyager, cabin pressure and stability at peak altitude aboard the capsule, our Environmental Control and Life Support systems, and all aspects of our SpaceBalloon™, including the material performance and our patent pending venting mechanisms. We also tested capsule communications with Mission Control and Voyager. While these are just a few of the many complex systems, the entire flight profile was successfully executed and all systems operated nominally. Let’s talk about Zipline’s test sites and who we’re hiring for 🧵 They are where elite talent meets 24/7 large scale high volume testing. They’re the engine that helped scale Zipline to the largest autonomous delivery service on earth, 5,000+ autonomous trips around the world and we’re just getting started. Zipline's testing in 2025: 315,000+ test flights 🚀 35,000+ flight hours (480+ straight days of nonstop flying) 🙂‍ 3,000+ flights per day 📈 Our test sites are built to push our system to the max so that we de-risk tomorrow. Each one tackles a different brutal edgecase to make sure the system’s reliability is bulletproof. Our 'engineering test site' in the video I posted is reconfigured every few weeks: new obstacles are added, new flight apps reviewed, new edge cases are tested in any weather condition. Every new software build deploys here first, into live airspace. Our other sites are placed around the U.S. and are focused on testing in severe conditions that ground most if not all other forms of transport. They operate in scorching heat of up to 125 degrees, high-altitudes, intense rainstorms, 60+ mph winds, hail, sleet, and extreme cold-weather, down to -20F. Heavy ice and snow accumulation on propulsion and sensors is the norm. We aggressively chase these conditions in test so we dominate when it really matters. We are now developing 5+ new test sites, each one dialed in to push even more extreme weather and edge conditions. What I am especially proud of is that our safety has kept improving even as flight volume, complexity and environmental hostility increases. We’ve been able to test and develop at a scale that’s unprecedented in aviation history because our teams own a 100% fully vertical tech stack, built hand in hand with our flight and application software teams. Humbled to announce the successful firing of our single piece Agnite engine. Agnite engines power Agnibaan’s booster stage. These engine chambers are a full meter long, fully 3d printed as a single piece of hardware and made of Inconel. Agnite engines are driven by pumps that are controlled and operated by electric motors. Thanks to ISRO & IN-SPACe for their constant support and to IIT Madras for being our home turf from which this kind of technology is built. This Agnite engine was printed, depowdered and post processed in the same machines that we inaugurated as a part of our Large Format Additive Metal Manufacturing facility (LFAMM) towards the end of last year. This milestone is also significant for us because it completes one end-to-end cycle of design, manufacturing, assembly and testing of our larger engines, in-house. Amazing work by the team in pulling off a few world firsts here. - world’s first single piece engine of this size being fired - world’s largest inconel only engine - world’s only electric motor fed, semi cryo engine of this size and the list continues. However, this is not a race to be the world's first, it is a race to be the world's best & to be the world's most useful technology for launching small satellites to orbit. This comes right after firing a cluster of 3 semi cryogenic engines that happened last month.
