Can someone please explain to me how short-term, temporary Obamacare subsidies passed during COVID suddenly became untouchable? Not a single Republican voted to extend these COVID subsidies in 2021 or 2022. We all recognized that Obamacare is a total disaster. Premiums have skyrocketed because of the ACA. But now we have four “moderate” Republicans who are siding with the Democrats to continue funding this miserable failure? What they really want is to reopen the Medicaid loopholes that allow illegal immigrants to access Medicaid, and they want to spend almost $400B to prop up Obamacare subsidies that go straight to insurance companies and NOT you, the patient. And to justify it? They lie. They tell you your premiums will double if they don’t get their way. That is total bullshit. The truth is that the CBO has already scored this. The White House has a solution for cost sharing, and the Democrats have an alternative.”
