It bothers me, more than it should probably, that social media platforms will come down on excessive diet culture content as "pro Ana" But then allow muckbangs and "what I eat in a day as a fat person who doesn't diet" content. It's just another way that they want you fat, unhealthy and dependent on them, their big pharma and big junkfood. They normalize it while demean being more healthy.

I'm 8 minutes into a 'documentary' on Netlfix called "What the Health" where the documentary film maker is interviewing a doctor who says the following: Kip the documentary filmmaker: "What role does sugar play in causing diabetes? Dr. Neal Barnard, M.D.: "Driving me crazy. Diabetes is not and never was caused by eating a high carbohydrate diet, and it's not caused by eating sugar. The causes of diabetes is a diet that builds up the amount of **fat** into the blood. I'm talking about a typical meat-based, animal-based diet." Dr. Barnard then goes on to claim its a high ANIMAL FAT diet that causes insulin resistance. The animal fat blocks the intake of sugar or glucose into the blood vessels. Or something. Watch. He actually says this. And he's not the only one. Several MD's appear here claiming metabolic syndrome, diabetes and insulin resistance is caused by animal fat in the human diet. Sugar?
