The problem with humanoid teleoperation is that it is expensive and difficult to scale Enter NVIDIA's EgoScale: - A VLA model pretrained on thousands hours of egocentric human videos. - Mid-trained via 50 hours of human + 4 hours of robot "play" data for human-robot alignment. - Fine-tuned with very few examples of task-specific robot teleoperation (100 or fewer per task). - Successfully transfers across 5-finger (Sharpa) and 3-finger (Unitree G1) robot hands. - Performance scales predictably as data increases.

It extracts and retargets human poses and object trajectories using GVHMR and LocoMujoco, building reference datasets with contact annotations. 🚨 Apple joins the robotics race! Researchers from Carnegie Mellon University and Apple have developed a robot collision avoidance system. They called it ARMOR and they implemented it on the Fourier GR-1 robot. What is ARMOR? 👘 ARMOR is a system that helps humanoid robots "see" their surroundings better by using small, smart depth sensors placed on their arms. It solves the problem of blind spots and occlusions in traditional robot perception, making robots much safer and more efficient. It uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors to detect obstacles, providing a near-complete view of the robot’s environment. 🔭 A smart software powered by transformer-based AI learns from human movements to help robots plan their actions dynamically. ARMOR reduces collisions by an impressive 63.7%, making robots significantly better at navigating crowded or complex spaces. Another home-use humanoid robot The cute and friendly Onero H1 comes from Switchbot. It looks like a wheeled humanoid robot that grew out of a robotic vacuum cleaner base. It can perform tasks such as making coffee, doing laundry, folding clothes, tidying up, and acting as a life assistant. Its embedded OmniSense VLA model allows it to adapt to complex household tasks. German company Agile Robotics has launched its first industrial humanoid robot, Agile One, featuring intuitive human-robot interaction, dexterous hands (for grasping small screws and touching the screen), and AI-driven operation trained in the real world.
