@ilyamirox With Steam, Heroic Launcher and Lutris, that is not the case anymore. SteamOS is based on Linux. 90% of my Steam library works just fine on Linux. Most of my GOG library works on Linux through Heroic. You're pushing nonsense that hasn't been true for a while now.

I hate micro$hit, but I can't beat thousands of drivers developers working for tech giants such as nvidia. Linux is just not the target for them. You run Linux in Docker or WSL2 on win, and you have Linux running on almost-bare-metal and you have target OS driver support.

WSL is good, i just cant stand my system looking like shit and freezing in the middle or forcing me to update. And no, windhawk doesnt help

WIndows is surely not for ricing, but in terms of stability, freezes etc, it outperforms any Linux I have tried so far on AM4 and AM5, Linux is very violent on memory, heavy work will often lead to crashes while winshit just slows down softly. BTW

Well, it was the exact opposite experience for me. Windows - unusable, lags, freezes (i removed all the bloat too, btw), and they even made win 11 UI just be a top layer over and old win 7 ui, lol

@ilyamirox I know everything is possible: can you imagine that some people just want to buy a comp and have things working? I used linux for 10+ years as a desktop: I was always fiddling with settings, compiling and configuring stuff, choosing window managers, reading howto's etc.

@ilyamirox if people don't have that suport then use what they want to .. not even sure why we are hashing on this. I was responding that all those apps mentioned work in the browser. and not an app. and you bring up a use case that is solved by them staying on the app in a browser.
