Linux has long surpassed Windows in terms of UI.

Surpassed in what sense. A GTK app and a Qt app in the same session still disagree about file dialogs, fonts and scrollbar behaviour. Mixed-DPI monitors are toolkit-dependent. Screen readers are years behind. One vendor enforcing one design language is the part Linux gave up.

Until you want to install/compile something with billion of incompatible dependencies, or use some regular hardware that is not supported, or just tons of other shit. Windows is crap, but Linux is not usable for desktop unless you really know exactly what limited list of software and hardware you are going to use.

hand riced still better

Looks like pure showoff unfortunately A good UI is practical

ui : 7.2/10 ux : -9/10

This is a strangely disturbing UI with a lot of fluff

As cool at this looks, Gnome is better for productivity. Windows people will prefer "using" KDE.

Is it end_4?

no, its serpantinum

Thats not even remotely good. Its very inconsistent. Buttons are there rounded and here cornered. There are shadows, but only here. Why would I have a settings loading animation? No clue how anyone could like it (and get productive work done)

in terms of everything you mean

Tu utilise quel distro et environnement de bureau au juste ? Hyprland ?

Well it's just tiling window managers innit

Soon everyone can have a custom AI generated UI for Linux. It will be amazing.

why my linux (ubuntu) don't look like this

Linux has long surpassed Windows; End of statement.

Nah, tentaram com o Compiz no passado e caiu no esquecimento, vai acontecer o mesmo com este aí.

Playability is still a huge problem, until the day every windows game runs flawlessly on linux I will never switch. I rather be able to play my full library rather than maybe half if im lucky.

This is like competing for second place.

I do lowkey miss bb4win and litestep. That said, they at best just made Windows have a more tolerable ui that was more like a Linux wm.

Hyprland and Quickshell look amazing. Kinda sad don't see more AGS shells anymore.

this looks fake or its a real distro ?

The power of Linux comes from capabilities not from ui or showoff

Modern KDE and GNOME look cleaner and handle fractional scaling way better than Windows 11's legacy Control Panel mix. The real difference is consistency: Linux desktop environments commit to their design system instead of stacking four eras of UI together.

Yesssss sirrrrrr

It's not even news

Yea, only if you spend a ton of time ricing, and then tweaking everything on updates. and god forbid you package it all up and send a distro like this out the box, youll run into omarchy-hate "why use someone elses dotfiles... waaah". Its so exhausting

Yoo how much is yo ram?

Se ve muy bien, solo tienes que dejar la vida en ello

Don't you think it's too redundant watching music being played on 3 different places at the same time

That’s a pretty low bar.

What’s your setup?

Can you disable all the animations?
