South East Patriots, an anti-immigration group, attempted to march through Brighton city centre today. They got approximately 10 metres from Brighton station before being stopped. The Carnival Against Fascism, a coalition of more than 20 anti-racist groups, gathered from 11am on Queens Road and blocked the route. Sussex News reported around 400 people attended the far-right rally. An estimated 4,000 attended the counter-protest. They were outnumbered ten to one. Sussex Police confirmed 2,500 people in attendance across the city centre at the height of the protest. Five arrests were made in total. The first came before the march had even started, on suspicion of a public order offence. The second was for breaching the peace and assaulting a police officer. Three further arrests were confirmed at 1:42pm. No serious injuries were reported. Fighting broke out on Queens Road between the two groups and was broken up by officers. British Transport Police were also deployed around Brighton station. Fatboy Slim, Norman Cook, entertained Carnival Against Fascism protesters outside Brighton station and played a free set on the streets. Phil Hartnoll from Orbital also pledged his support to the counter-protest. After seeing our coverage, Fatboy Slim commented on our post: “So proud of our City today. No place for hate.” Council Leader Councillor Bella Sankey had said in advance: “Don’t come. Your message of hatred is not welcome here. Diagonal delivery vs L shape delivery. When I got up to 95, all I thought about was getting as deep into my back leg as possible. When I made the jump to 98, what I did was get into that drop a lot quicker. Now as I train to throw 100, I’m starting to think about it differently. If I sink too deep into my back leg, I create more of a drop and drive delivery where I have to drop first and then create energy toward the target. Rather than having it happen at the same time. Where I’m going down and out at the same rate. That’s the most efficient way to create as much energy toward the target as possible. One of the big fixes I’ve made is dropping into the inside of my back foot. Rather than putting force into the whole foot. This prevents me from getting too deep because I can’t get into a squat position when I’m putting force into the inside of my back leg. It also helps me create more energy toward the target. When you put force into the inside of your back foot, you’ll naturally move forward more than you move down. I also created a full guide on this, so if you want it, comment guide and I’ll send it through to you.

Some journeys open your eyes in ways you don’t expect; they sit with you long after you’ve arrived home and this trip was one of them. It was gifted to me by someone special and I thought it would be a simple birthday escape. Instead, it became a journey that stayed with me. What you see here was before the Limpopo dam gates were opened, before even more water came. I made it through just in time but many didn’t. I saw people walking through floodwater because that was the only way forward. I saw communities doing what they could, with what they had. And I felt how different everything looks when nothing shields you from what’s happening around you. I made it home safely, but many are still living with the aftermath. Holding them in my thoughts and choosing not to forget. 💌 #mozambiquefloods

When I made it clear that I supported their right to peacefully hold 🇬🇧 flag, the attention quickly turned towards me. One Bengali repeatedly told me I should be ashamed and commented on my accent, suggesting people like me would be deported. He then grabbed my arm and attempted to push me. When I pushed him away, the police became involved and told me to move on because I was allegedly “agitating” people. Many people say there is no such thing as two-tier policing. Others disagree. Delhi Police has removed the large barricades from the entry and exit points at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and, according to the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), switched off the CCTV cameras around the protest site. The allegations were made by CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das, who claimed these are pressure tactics intended to create panic among protesters and signal that a major police crackdown could be imminent ahead of the party's proposed Parliament march. Despite the late hour, there is barely any room to walk as thousands continue to stay at Jantar Mantar just hours before the planned march to Parliament. TAG PLAY FROM LAST NIGHTS TEXAS & GEORGIA CWS GAME. 1) Texas catcher initial set up is inside the 3B line & in fair territory. 2) When he reads the SS’s throw from down the LF line, he takes a big drop step to get a more favorable hop. Unfortunately the drop step takes him behind HP which allows the runner to score before being tagged. 3) In today’s game with replay review as part of the process, it is best to make the tag before the runner gets to HP. Most successful tag outs are made up the 3B line on the slider’s midline before he gets to HP. 4) In this situation the catcher was probably not far enough up the line & took too big a drop step. ( Most likely a combination of the two) IMO the ideal initial set up on throws from LF/CF is 17” up the line & 17” inside the line. From that position a good throw legally takes you into the line & keeps you from getting behind the plate. It also allows the catcher to work back towards the plate on a wide throw on the 1st base side. 5) Ideally on a close play like this one you are making a quick one handed sweep tag while pivoting through the runner while sliding & pivoting on both knees.
