There are unverified Russian claims linking it to a modified Geran-2 drone equipped with an R-60 missile. Ukrainian intelligence has confirmed the existence of Geran-2 variants armed with R-60 air-to-air missiles, designed primarily to counter aircraft or helicopters approaching to intercept drone swarms. If independently verified, such an engagement could represent a significant milestone in drone-vs-manned aircraft combat. Yesterday, we secured 5 more Patriot systems and dozens of other air defense systems. Today, a decision on aircraft is also expected. We will also finalize two new security agreements, which include support for sanctions against Russia, our accession to the EU and NATO, the protection of our soldiers and people, and reconstruction efforts. There will be at least ten meetings with world leaders. I am grateful to our entire team for their work. Today, we will also have meetings in the U.S. Congress with both parties and both chambers. We appreciate American support and will discuss how to achieve even more positive results in our cooperation with the United States – ideally, long-range and far-reaching.

"THE UNITED STATES HAS NO AIRCRAFT CARRIERS IN THE MIDDLE EAST" Most people believe that the U.S. cannot launch an attack on Iran unless it has at least one aircraft carrier in the Middle East. The U.S. usually has two aircraft carriers in place when a military intervention is launched. One of the aircraft carriers acts as a backup. That is the normal procedure. I think the military doctrine is changing. Aircraft carriers are vulnerable and I have previously written that if a conflict between the U.S. and Iran starts, the US will have its aircraft carriers at a safe distance. The issue extends beyond just Iran and the U.S.; it is also significantly related to the anticipated conflict between China and Taiwan. In my opinion, the U.S. does not wish to grant China any benefits in light of that conflict. A significant issue for the U.S. is that lacking aircraft carriers in a region at the onset of a conflict results in a loss of combat capability. This includes the ability to conduct sustained high-tempo air operations with numerous daily sorties. Without these carriers, you also miss out on integrated air defense suppression and electronic warfare in contested airspace. If the U.S. conducts strikes on Iran without the involvement of aircraft carriers, it suggests that it is assessing its military strength without these assets. This could be seen as a precursor to a confrontation with China..........

Wow…the Main Directorate of Intelligence for the Ukrainian Armed Forces has released footage today showing an uncrewed surface vessel in the Black Sea, for the first time in history, using a surface-to-air missile to down a Su-30SM fighter aircraft with the Russian Naval Aviation. According to Russian channels, the shoot-down occurred yesterday roughly 30 miles to the west of Novorossiysk, with the drone believed to have utilized a variant of the R-73 air-to-air missile known as “Sea Dragon” to down the Su-30SM.
