People don't talk about this enough. Different limb lengths drastically alter how you lift and move. Someone may be offering great advice based on their body type, but it won't always apply to your own body type.

💯 It took me a couple of years to figure this out for myself. Now, with adaptations, my squats are looking less like good mornings. Trying to force load without elevating my heels and widening my stance just created back pain, and frustration 😩

Lever arms change what the movement trains. There isn't one correct squat. One reason why its so good to learn what feels good.

This is actually super helpful! I am short but with EXTREMELY long legs for my height and back squatting without compromising my lower back is tough at higher weights, but always feels awkward. The balance is off if I try to go too deep.

I wonder if this is my problem. I can front squat far more easily than back squat. I'm buying a pair of squat wedges to see.

Body proportions can change how a squat looks, but the key factors are still the same for everyone: mobility, core stability, and proper form. Different builds just mean different mechanics—not better or worse.

the femur to torso ratio thing is real. had a training partner with long femurs who kept getting told his squat was wrong — switched him to a wider stance with slight forward lean and his depth improved overnight. anatomy dictates mechanics, not the other way around

People underestimate how much limb length affects form. This explains why two people can squat completely differently and both be “correct

How do I know if I have a long femur? Asking for a friend.

My only question is, does the raised heel lower/raise intensity?
