I still don't understand how The Amazing Spider-Man 2 flopped. Maybe we really failed this one as an audience. Looking back, there were so many things to love.

Evian made a Spider-Man ad for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 where Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man has a dance-off with a baby version of himself This is real. This happened. This was marketing.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the scene where Spider-Man rescues a bullied kid was actually pitched by Andrew Garfield. Garfield wanted a moment that showed Spider-Man being a true “friendly neighborhood” hero — not just fighting big villains, but helping ordinary people.
