I just spent 2 nights, 3 days in the beautiful and rugged Superstition Wilderness completing the "Icon Loop" - also my first solo overnighter! This is a loop originally created by Jerry Arizona, and over the years people have created their own variations of the loop. This is mine! I logged 34.5 miles and 9,126ft of elevation gain. It was challenging, both physically and mentally, but so rewarding in the end!

NEW: Chicago residents and victims are speaking out after another alleged "Loop puncher" arrest. 40-year-old Marlon Miller, out on electronic monitoring despite multiple pending battery cases, charged with attacking three women downtown on Dec. 10. The most recent victim, Sherri Bester: "It's like the judicial system is failing us." All of his victims were walking to work in broad daylight near State and Randolph when Miller allegedly punched them unprovoked: - Punched a 50-year-old woman (Sherri Bester) in the eye, breaking her glasses. - Struck a 49-year-old woman in the face. - Punched a 62-year-old woman in the nose. Bester also added that he the attack was "brazen and random" and that Miller "never should have been out on the streets. Miller has a history of similar arrests, including recent cases still pending.
