Lot going on here. First, Jensen is running Enron with an increasing exponent. A conman on a scale never seen. But he’s offering something to the labs that they should have built in the first few months—a basic authentication & permission system for looped LLM instances—aka “agents.” The fact...

No standards. No legal liability issues. No responsibility issues to worry over.

What I worry is that AI will scan all publications, empty the libraries after getting them defunded, & then watch everybody burn their own books. THEN flip the switch and destroy all human knowledge. Some variation on that. Don't mind me. My Search points to Nat'l Libraries, so.

A "clever" enough agent will learn to get around provision restrictions and provision its self

I mean if Claude Code is 80% vibe-coded, well, wow, it's still the best agent harness in the whole industry.

The AI Labs are not software companies. That's why they have never been focused on this kind of stuff. People have been screaming about it for a long time. Maybe they aren't listening, but I think they simply aren't understanding. Two ships sailing past each other in the night.

This is going to end in a bailout somehow isn't it?

The Chinese seem to start at the place of "let's use AI to solve an engineering problem...." How to build a car, an RV, a bridge in the most efficient way. Build the robots to do the work, fine tune them, and set them to the task. It's productive.

The tech bros are just selling BS without a plan. We built something -- can't figure out a purpose for it very often, so we do random shit -- and it gets out of control.... But it's supervaluable, so give us some monster size loans or IPOs.

@morgfair To say that Jensen Huang is running Enron is like saying Henry Ford or Steve Jobs ran Enrons.

You can already see the panic rush for the exits right now in #AI as a result of the non-stop bamboozling. It's a freak show and the smell of desperation coming out of it, is palatable. 💩

My agents have never attacked anything besides each other. However, the amount of work it takes to build a jail like this isn't something most people can do.

Martin Masser from ChangeNOW says banks are running software from the 70s, and crypto is how they get out "I think there was a point where we did think we would replace the banks, but that was probably 12 years ago. I think now, working parallel." "I worked in a lot of these banking systems, and do you know what, now that you've doxxed your age, a lot of the software in the banks is older than you." "They've got these legacy systems in from the '70s, and they just can't get that out because so much of that is ingrained. So you're in banking and you've got software from the '80s, '90s, '70s in there. It's just not going to be as efficient." "I think what's really interesting for the stage that we're at is there's going to be so many more things that we can do with crypto within banking." "The amount of people that are on the banking floor trying to approve settlements is crazy. We can do that in crypto really easily." "So I'm actually finding a lot more banks now are open to integrating, and they are now integrating a lot of the software, a lot of the ideas." "And I think the key thing people maybe don't realize, banks have been involved in this space for a very long time. A lot of the times they've been doing pilots, proofs of concept, little trials." "But now we're starting to see the banks integrating a lot of these systems, because they just see so many efficiencies that are there now with this."
