Louis Riddick brings up some valid points here on Get Up. “If the Bears didn’t believe in Justin Fields then why did they eviscerate the entire offensive coaching staff?” #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears

How is this a good point lol. They can both be bad, correct? The bigger question would be, if they believe in Fields why not announce him as the starter?

Maybe because the Bears believe the QB and the coaching staff were part of the offensive problem. And the Bears didn’t fire the entire offensive staff. They kept the OL and TE coaches. And the OL coach is a pretty integral part of any offensive staff. Point rejected.

lol lol lol lol The coaching and the QB were NOT good enough. That's why lmao

If a hack contractor builds a crumbling house, I’m going to fire that guy and have a new guy start from scratch. Not going to make the new contractor rehab the existing house with the shaky foundation.

Can both things not be true? The coaching staff sucked and so did the qb?

Yes and no imo. The Bears may not fully believe in Justin Fields AND they may have wanted an upgrade at OC etc. to coach a rookie QB.

Because they want to bring on a new quarterback? Waldron was not taking the job to end up like getsy ( fired )

I’m gonna laugh so hard when Caleb doesn’t win more than 7 games and y’all be crying because you thought he was the second coming of Mahomes.

I love this point from Fields fans. They say this as an excuse to keep Fields when reality is that the bears know both the offensive staff and the QB were to blame which is why both will be gone entering next season.

Probably because they knew they needed a hard reset both in coaching and also at QB. It blows my mind that you have folks who STILL think both can't be true. That's it. That's all. Good God.

because they needed a scape goat for the offense and so Eberflus could keep his job. Why did Shannah fire their DC? when they were in the super bowl and he called a horrible game?

Riddick continues to defend Fields like he used to defend Nagy. He locks in on his guys and doesn’t let go. Shocking he doesn’t have a GM gig. 🙄

Because they can't dump the QB yet, dude.

Why is the narrative that JF is bad if we trade him? It’s so linear in thought. The Bears are in rare territory to theoretically upgrade at QB. Has nothing to do with JF being bad. If we didn’t pick 1st, this wouldn’t even be a discussion.

@LRiddickESPN is brilliant! As for Foxworth, Justin isn’t everyone else, and he HAS had success.

@Bearlissimo1 Because they don't want the same coaching staff screwing up the next QB?

The opposition to this statement: Bears franchise and fans expect a rookie QB to overcome the inept coaching and perform at a level that makes the inept coach look good enough to keep his job… 🤦🏾‍♂️ Draft Caleb and start over…🤷🏾

Maybe they felt like it was both QB and coaches that failed

No he doesn't. That offensive staff had to go regardless. Do you think that they were going to let Getsy develop Caleb Williams? Stop yourself!

Because they knew that staff wasn’t good enough and wanted to get the best coaches available to set up their guy (Caleb Williams) with the best supporting cast a #1 pick has ever seen.

Hall of Famer Steve Youngs pro career didn’t start off great with USFL Los Angeles Express. Keeps grinding and gets his opportunity in the NFL and goes 3 & 16 as a starter with Tampa Bay. Traded to the 49ers for a 2nd and 4th pick as a backup and the rest is history. HOF 🐐

Riddick is 💯 on his take, and he's not the only one who does. I believe Fields isn't going anywhere soon, Poles will go for the blockbuster trade of the 1st overall pic and set the Bears and himself up for the next 4 seasons at least with serious draft capital. 🐻⬇️

The Bears better balance this situation or Poles' dream to have a sustained winner will go up in smoke. They need competition in the QB room. Draft the QB they want and compete with Fields. Winner gets the job. Houston did it and Mills passed for 3000 yards under Lovie!

Been saying this. I feel like it is in the Bears front office character to trade back. Get a haul. Build. Build. Build. They know they can win with Justin and some other weapons and they also have future drafts where they can grab a new quarterback if need be

poles loves flus & the defense was cooking at the end of the season .. they believe upgrading at QB & OC will make them contenders.
